Coffee shop

I was in line, looking through my peripheral at the vampire. She looked annoyed and angry, even just by glancing at her you could tell she was not happy to be here. "Um miss"? A voice rang me out of my head, "oh"!

"Are you gonna order anything"? The very handsome cashier asked, I felt eyes shift to me and it was none other than Jess and Angela. I could tell what LOOK they were giving me. "Uh- yeah"! I gave an awkward smile while looking at the order board in the background. "Yeah, I will get a regular iced coffee with a little bit of whip cream" he nodded and turned to the back. Jess excitedly walked up next to me with Angela right behind her, "oh my god! Did you see the way he looked at you when you ordered"!!

"Calm down" I put my hand on her shoulder to calm her down. I couldn't help but blush since he was handsome, "I didn't know you had to have a certain face to work here"? I said jokingly, Angela laughed, "yeah, Mike and Eric would be lucky to even get an application here" we all giggled until he came back with my coffee. "Alright! Here ya go miss"! He handed it to me with a wink, I felt my face heat up slightly and only winked back. Jess and Angela were both in shock at the exchange, and when he was back to taking orders I felt my hand being grabbed and pulled outside. "Girl! You have to get his number"!! Jess exclaimed into my face, I couldn't help but nod in return. Just as I was about to turn around and walk to him I bumped into someone really hard. My coffee spilled everywhere and a body laid on top of me. "Emery! Are you okay"?! Jess said, crouching beside me. When I opened my eyes I saw the same blonde hair woman who had my attention in the store. It was Rosalie.. WAIT! ROSALIE!?

My body instantly went cold and I couldn't help but start apologizing profusely, "I swear I didn't know I was gonna be in the way"!! I said while getting up and offering her a hand. Until I noticed my hand was scraped from landing on the sidewalk really hard. As if instinctual, she turned her head and started doing some kind of breathing exercises. I seen Jess and Angela look at her weird, "hey! Aren't you gonna apologize for bumping into her like that"? Jess had said in a very stern manner. I only shook my head and switched hands, giving her an apologetic look instead. She looked back up and noticed I hid my other hand, "I can get you another coffee if you'd like, since I ruined your other coffee"

I heard a sigh and she stood up quickly without my help, "no need"! She practically yelled. I felt myself flinch unknowingly, "I will just go and get it myself"!

Us three girls just stared at her as she speed walked past us. "What a bitch"

Jess just looked with disbelief written on her face, Angela patting her back. "I wouldn't Jess, she doesn't seem worth it". When she had made it to the register, despite myself I go and run into the store hearing the two girl yell for me. They both turned to look at me, Rosalie obviously not to happy. "Um! Hey"! I awkwardly walked up towards them, my body instantly trying to act confident, "so I spilled her coffee, I'm here to repay it" I told the cashier, he seemed to have caught on and nodded, even giving a discount. While he went to go get it made we just sat there, in silence. "I'm sorry, I know you didn't want me to pay back but I couldn't just watch" I told her, trying to brighten her mood, but it went to nothing. "I could have bought 15 more cups, I didn't need you to come in here and repay just 1" she told me, her body turning from mine as if to tell me it's no contact time. I only nodded and looked at her, up close you can really see that her power was beauty, she had it as if she was Miss universe herself. Radiating an energy that only a goddess would express. I was genuinely in awe at her being, I was probably a okay looking roach next to her. We shared almost the same looks except for her filled out body and tall figure, her fair skin and her strawberry blonde hair, even her hazel eyes were something you couldn't part from.

Scratch that I look nothing like her, why did I even have the guts to try and put myself in the same category.

Once the cashier came back he started writing something on her cup, we both look at him probably wondering what he was doing. Until he handed it to her and winked, "that's my number if your ever lonely miss". She looked up at him and acted as if she was about to rip his face open, I couldn't help but acted quickly. Rosalie hated humans more than anything so for her to attack one in public wouldn't be so surprising. My arm wrapped around hers and tried to pull her away, but it was way harder than it looked. My feet gripping the floor for support, she snapped out of her murderous gaze and flipped her head to me. I fully expected my head to be the next target-

Instead to my surprise she followed, of course breaking arm contact, but me and her were outside quicker than what I could've dragged her. "I'm so sorry I touched you without your permission"! I apologized, my hand nearing my cheek in a very friendly manner. I wasn't the nervous and meek type but she was a being who could kill my entire family generation if she wanted to. "It just seemed like he really got under your skin" I said, we both looked over to him inside the store, he was very handsome and if it weren't for the fact that she is 1; a vampire and 2; already had a mate. Then I'm sure they would've matched quickly, even if the thought made me jealous.

"You seem very confident, seeing as you didn't care to try and drag me out of the store", she said, Nearing my face. Jess and Angela both grabbed my shoulders to back me up from her. Thank god or I would've crumbled. "Haha..yeah.."

A rough sigh came from her mouth and she shook her head, "I'm never coming to this stupid coffee shop again"

Before anything else was said, a horn honked from beside us on the street. Rosalie seemed to have noticed the car instantly, looking back at us just before she walked to the car. I only stood there, when she looked back again, I waved with a forced confident smile on my face. She just rolled her eyes and left in the vehicle. As if on timing, we all let out a sigh of relief. "I swear, it's pretty girls like her that are so stuck-up" Jess said, Angela nodding, "daddy's money this, and mommy issues that" she continued. I only shook my head, looking back to where the vehicle had left off to.

Rosalie was more than annoyed, her humanity leaving her body as she recalled what happened. She believes it's the first time someone dared to try and drag her since her turning.  She never liked doing anything for anyone unless it was family or Emmett. "Why were you talking to those girls"? A rough voice asked, she turned over to see Edward driving. She shook her head, "you already know why, so why even ask"? She turned to her phone. Texting her mate, she didn't even know why she entertained it, why she even allowed herself to follow a human stranger out of the coffee shop. Yet something about her eyes told her that I was for the best. "You're right, I just thought you'd like it better if I asked"? He said in a monotone voice, she laughed, "me and you both know you don't care Edward". They went back to silence, both on their way to the same high school they have gone to for years.

Looking out the window she recalled her eyes, eyes that said she wasn't scared of her, or even the cashier, but she was scared for Rosalie. That left something bitter in her mouth, who knows if they will ever meet again but she hopes they don't. Soft classical music leading them to their day in hell.
