Part 13: The Past and The Future

Poppy goes to a house and knocks on the door.

A girl answers.

The girl has platinum blonde hair, brown eyes and tan skin and was 5'1.

"Do you know about a girl named Marie?" Poppy asked.

"Marie Maxwell?" The girl asked.

"Yeah, that's the one!" Poppy said, relieved that the girl knew who Poppy was talking about.

"Yeah she's my older sister." The girl said, opening the door wider.

"I did not think Mari had siblings." Poppy said.

"Come in!" The girl said.

The girl drags Poppy into the house.

"So have I told you my name?" The girl asked Poppy.

"No." Poppy said.

"Oh yeah, my name is Danielle nice to meet you, uhm what's your name?" Danielle asked.

"It's Poppy." Poppy said.

"So you live around here?" Danielle asked.

"Yeah, I definitely do." Poppy said.

Poppy looks at the Maxwell family portraits.

"I never thought that Marie would dress so, formally." Poppy said.

Danielle walks over to the portraits.

"Marie did not want to dress like that." Danielle said.

"So why did she?" Poppy asked out of concern.

"Our parents wanted us to fit in their ideal image, but we weren't into that." Danielle said.

"That sounds familiar." Poppy said.

"Your parents were like that too?" Danielle asked.

"Well, it's a bit complicated but I think my dad cared about me." Poppy said.

Danielle looks at Poppy.

"I guess the three of us have that in common." Danielle said.

Danielle leads Poppy to the living room.

Poppy sits on the couch.

"Is Marie here?" Poppy asked.

"Yeah, she's in the bathroom taking a shower right now." Danielle said.

"Okay then." Poppy said as she grabbed her phone.

Danielle sits besides Poppy.

"So Marie told me about you." Danielle said.

Poppy looks up from her phone.

"What did she say about me?" Poppy asked.

"Well she said that you were a great person and really easy to relax around, but you are a little distant." Danielle explained.

"She said that about me?" Poppy asked in awe.

"Yeah, she even said that you have great fashion too." Danielle said.

"Wow, that was so nice of her." Poppy said.

"Yeah, Marie took a liking to you almost immediately." Danielle smiled.

"I'm a little bit shocked to be honest." Poppy said.

"Well I mean I can tell why she took such a liking to you." Danielle said.

"You can?" Poppy asked.

"Hey I can tell you're a good person Poppy." Danielle said.

"Really?"
