Date: July 7th 2022
Devin puts the starfish down.
The starfish runs back into the water.
"When I get my hands on that guy I'm going to-" Devin says angrily until he's interrupted.
"Devin, what happened?" Marie asked, walking towards Devin.
"According to the starfish, Zero was only hanging out with me and Jade to have better powers." Devin said.
"Zero doing that?" Marie asked.
"Yeah and it's like, he needs us but we don't need him." Devin said.
Marie leans on Devin's arm.
"Well you didn't hear it yourself, and for all we know the starfish could've taken it out of context." Marie said.
"But the starfish never lies to me." Devin said.
"I didn't say that, but have you considered that maybe it just walked in at the wrong time?" Marie asked.
"I guess I didn't consider that." Devin said.
"That's fair, usually when you're upset you fail to see the bigger picture." Marie said.
"You're right Marie." Devin said.
Marie walks Devin to his bed and pushes him onto the bed while she sits on his lap.
Marie grabs out her phone and takes a photo of her and Devin.
"This'll look great on my account." Marie said.
"I guess you're right." Devin laughs.
Marie kisses Devin's head.
"Well I have to go but, I'm glad I prevented you from drowning a kid." Marie giggles.
Marie walks out of the room.
Devin gets up and teleports out of the room.
Devin teleports into Selena's room.
Selena and Zero look at Devin.
"Zero your friends are like flies, they never go away." Selena said.
Zero sighs.
"Devin go away." Zero said.
Zero shoos Devin away, but unsuccessful in his attempt.
"I guess that starfish was right." Devin said, crossing his arms.
"Starfish, Devin I know you like swimming but I'm pretty sure water stuff can't talk." Zero said.
Devin summons a water wave and throws it towards Zero.
"Does that answer your question?" Devin asked.
"Okay I'll ignore the water wave, but why are you here?" Devin asked sarcastically.
"Look Zero the human fish is angry!" Selena laughs while pointing at Devin.
"And look there's the guy who only uses people for his own gain." Devin said, pointing at Zero.
Zero scoffs.
"You'll live." Zero said.
Devin rolls his eyes.
"I'm sure you'll be able to survive without your little lessons." Devin said.
