The next morning when I woke up, I was startled. I had totally forgot that Nick and I fell sleep together. I looked at the clock on the bar and saw it was ten forty-five. Kenneth was supposed to be picking me up at eleven.
"Nick, Nick."
He sat up and rubbed his eyes. "What time is it?"
"Ten forty-five. Kenneth is coming to get me at eleven and I still have to pack and get ready."
"Okay. Just take a minute and take a deep breath." I took a deep breath in and let it out. "Okay. I'll help you. You can take a shower and I'll pack your things for you."
"Okay." We both stood up and walked upstairs to my room. I got my clothes and towel for my shower and set my bag on the bed to pack. I headed to bathroom to hop in the shower while Nick packed my bag. I made a list of all the things I needed and where he could find them. "You think you got this?"
"I know I got this. Now go take a shower."
"Thanks. Your the best."

When I came back in 30 minutes, I found Nick asleep on my bed, and my bag packed. I had taken my shower, gotten dressed, and dried my hair.
"Nick?" He didn't wake up. "Nick?"
"Oh, hi Adeline. I must have fallen asleep."
"It's okay. You ready to head downstairs?"
"Yeah." We walked down the steps, bag in hand and found Kenneth and everyone else gathered in the kitchen talking.
"Sorry I'm late Kenneth."
"Don't worry about it Ads, William and Max told me you had a rough day yesterday." Of course they did. "So, are you ready to go?"
"Yup."
"I'll walk you out to the car."
"You don't have to do that."
"It's fine. Besides, my car's out there too."
"Oh, right."
"Kenneth," my mom said.
"Yes mom?"
"Make sure she gets some sleep. She's really wants to play in the game on Thursday."
"Got it. I'll make sure she gets some sleep."
"Thank you honey."
"No problem." He turned to look at me and asked, "You ready to go?"
"Yup." Then we headed out to his car. I put my things in the back and got in the passenger seat.
"Nick. Are you coming on Sunday?"
"I'd love to but I have to go to brother's house. Apparently him and his wife have some big news to share. Why they had to do it on Football Sunday, I don't know."
We all three chuckled. "Okay, well you're gonna have to miss out on a great prank."
"I'll tell you about it Monday."
