When I opened my eyes the next morning and looked around, I saw Lena passed out in the middle of my bed, and Nick on the other side of her sleeping. We must have fallen asleep before the movie was over. William and Isabella must not have not wanted to wake any of us. I see why too, we looked so peaceful. Then I thought to myself, I could get used to this. I know it sounds crazy, but I could picture walking up like this every morning.
I didn't want to get up because I was afraid of waking Lena and Nick. Luckily I didn't have to. Nick woke up soon after I did. He rubbed his eyes and smiled at me and then down at Lena.
"Did we fall asleep?" He whispered it so he didn't wake up Lena. I nodded my head and smiled. "Should we wake her?" I nodded my head.
"Together, on three." He nodded his head and on three we lifted her.
"Wait, wait, wait. She's not really safe like this. I'll carry her."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, she's really light."
"Okay, here you go." I wrapped her arms around his neck and he held onto her legs around his waist. We made sure her head was resting safely on his shoulder and she was still sleeping. We decided we had to wake her. It was about six forty five and her parents should be here by now. "Hey, Lena. It's time to wake up okay." I noticed she opened her eyelids and was unsure of the situation. "Hey Lena, you're at grandma and grandpa's house. You fell asleep with Nick and I during the movie."
"Where's my mommy and daddy?"
"I don't know, but I think they're here. We'll take you downstairs and find out." She nodded her head and rubbed her eyes. Then the three of us walked down the stairs cautiously, making sure she or Nick didn't slip.
We safely made our way down the steps and made our way into the kitchen. "Good morning sweetheart." William and Isabella must have spent the night in one of the guest rooms. "We brought you some clothes."
"Did you guys spend the night too?"
"Yeah. Last night when we went to check on you guys and tell Lena it was time to go home, you were all passed out on the bed. So we decided to leave you guys alone and I ran home to get our clothes and anything else we might need. Did you guys sleep well last night?"
"Yeah, it wasn't really that cramped."
"Good."
Emmett walked into the kitchen then and started to ask questions. "Hey, did you sleep over last night Nick?"
"Yeah, we fell asleep watching the Little Mermaid."
"Gotcha. You can borrow some of my clothes and we have an extra toothbrush in the guys bathroom in case someone dropped theirs in the toilet. It happens a lot more than you'd think."
"Thanks man."
"No problem."
I went upstairs and got changed and put my hair up in a ponytail. Then Nick and Emmett went upstairs to get ready after finishing their bowl of cereal.
"So Nick slept over last night?"
"Yeah. Does mom and dad know?"
"Yeah. They were fine with it. When we came back downstairs and told them you all fell asleep, they told us to just leave you guys alone. They have a lot of trust in you."
"Yeah, I know. It wasn't the first time we've fallen asleep together."
"What?"
"When he came over Friday night to keep an eye on me, we fell asleep on the couch downstairs and mom and dad called his parents and let them know where he was. They were really cool with it."
