When I woke up the next morning, I was so happy. I had a guy, seven awesome but stupid brothers, and today was the day Jackie was going to tell me I could play football again.

Nick texted me while I was getting dressed and asked if I needed a ride.

"From who?"

"Me of course."

"I'd love a ride."

"But we do have to take Amy." Amy was Nick's thirteen year old sister. She was really pretty and looked up to her big brother. They have a similar relationship to William's and mine.

"That's fine. I love Amy."

"Are you leaving me for my kid sister?"

I laughed to myself and then responded. "Never."

"Just making sure. See you soon."

"See you soon." I grabbed what I needed for school and practice and then went downstairs to the kitchen.

"Good morning Ads. You seem really happy."

"Really? I hadn't noticed." Of course I noticed. My face hurt from smiling so much, but I was in to good of a mood to care.

William looked down at the paper and chuckled at my comment, then Isabella hit him in the shoulder and gave him a glare. "Ow. What was that for?"

"Your baby sister is really happy and you just laughed at her."

"Oh, right. I'm sorry Ads, but you're not usually like this."

Isabella looked up at me and gave me that kind smile of hers. "Is this because you and Nick are together now?"

"That, and today is the day that Jackie, the school trainer, tells me I can play football again."

"That's great sweetie. I'm so happy for you."

"Hey! That is great news. I'm really happy for you. I hate to be the Debby downer here, but how do you know she's going to let you play again? After the way I found you last night, I'm not so sure you're in the best condition to be back out on the field again."

"William, be happy for your little sister. She has hope."

"YOu're right Isabella. I'm sorry Adeline."

"It's okay Will."

"Do you need a ride this morning?"

"No, I'm okay. Nick is coming to pick me up." Before William could say anything more, there was a knock on the door. "That must be him."

"Have a good day Ads."

"Thanks." I gave him a peck on the cheek and ran to the front door. I grabbed my bags from by the door and headed out the door. "You ready to go?" Then I closed the door behind me.

"Yup."

"Are you gonna come with me to see Jackie today?"

"Of course. As far as I've heard, I'm still on babysitting duty."

"I don't need babysitting."

"I see that, now. Doesn't your face hurt?"

"Yeah, but I'm to happy to even care." he chuckled and turned the keys in the ignition, and it came to life again.

"Ah, that's a nice sound."

"Just drive." We both laughed and then he backed out of the driveway and drove out of the neighborhood.

When we out of the neighborhood and on our way to school, I tried to start a conversation. "Do you think that Jackie will let me play football today?"
