Chapter 5: In the meantime 'Topside'

To worsen our luck, our little mission already had already alerted the Gromble that we were gone. Same case with the student body and staff at Alfea. While Faragonda will ground Beth, Theo and Zaira by taking their powers, making them do chores without magic, we'll have to face the Snorch to torture us!

Back on Earth, within the hallowed halls of the Monster Academy, the Gromble, the young monster's strict and no-nonsense headmaster, begins to notice the conspicuous absence of three of his students. Ickis, Krumm, and Oblina are nowhere to be found, and the Gromble's brow furrows with concern.

His eyes scan the empty dorm, the room that held his students now vacant. "Where are those miscreants?" he mutters under his breath, his red claws drumming impatiently against the wall.

At first The Gromble, initially suspects that Simon, the amateur monster hunter, might have captured his students, decides to investigate further. He knows all too well the lengths to which Simon is willing to go in his quest to prove the existence of monsters.

Carefully concealing himself in the shadows, the Gromble observes Simon's activities. He watches as Simon sets up various traps and devices, his excitement palpable as he anticipates the capture of a real-life monster.

"My beautiful cages. Someday, I'll fill you with monsters. I'll hunt them and I'll catch them and I'll show the world the world of monsters are real." He announced.

To the Gromble's surprise, Simon's efforts yielded no results yet. The traps had remained undisturbed, and there was no sign of Ickis, Krumm, or Oblina being held captive.

"Odd," the Gromble murmurs to himself, his voice a low rumble. "If Simon were truly behind their disappearance, he would be making quite a spectacle of it."

Puzzled, the Gromble narrows his eyes, contemplating the situation. He knew that Simon's enthusiasm for discovering monsters is unmatched. After witnessing Simon's obsession with finding Bigfoot in the past, the Gromble can only imagine the chaos that would ensue if Simon were to come face-to-face with the members of I.M.P., the small imp assassins.

Knowing Simon's track record, he envisions the chaos that would ensue if the monster hunter were to witness I.M.P.

"If Simon were to stumble upon I.M.P., he would undoubtedly be in for a shock," the Gromble muses, his wrinkled brow deepening in thought. "The chaos that would ensue could rival any monster he has encountered before."

Realizing that Simon's involvement may not be the cause of his students' disappearance, the Gromble expands his investigation. He ponders the possibilities, his mind filled with caution and concern for his missing students. He decides to reach out to his network of informants, seeking any information that might shed light on the whereabouts of Ickis, Krumm, and Oblina.
