Transferring?

One Year Later

Tris Pov

I just turned 16 two days ago with Uriah. That means that I am choosing in two days and I have the test tomorrow. I already know that I am staying at Dauntless but I can tell that Zeke is worried about me transferring. I am one of the smartest people in my class, even smarter than the Erudite, which shocks me.

"Haha!" I laugh at Uriah as we head to the train after school. "I got another hundered!"

"Haha!" He mocks back. "I got another 60!" He says and smiles and I do too.

I shove my paper in my bag and zip it up. I climb onto the platform and wait for the train. I see it in the distance and run with the other Dauntless. Lynn, Marlene, and Uriah behind me.

I get in and do my homework like the rest of Dauntless (like the ones that do their homework so aka 3 other people). By the time it's time to jump I finished my homework and back up to get a running start.

I see the platform and run and leap over the gap and land on my feet and continue running to the net. I'm the first one there so I go up on the ledge sling my backpack around so it's on my stomach and fall in and land on my back. I get out of the net quickly and wait for Lynn, Mar and Uri.

Once they are all down we separate and go to our apartments. I walk with Uri and when we get in I see Zeke playing Mario Cart on the tv. I out one finger up to my lips telling him to be quiet and I sneak up on Zeke. By the time I get behind him, I jump over the couch and land on him laughing. He screams like a little girl which makes me laugh even harder. I get off of him and before he can look up he tackles me onto the couch again and grabs my hands and puts them above my head.

"Oh. It's you." He says with no emotion but is still pinning me down.

"What? Your not excited to see me?" I say as I out in a fake sad face.

"no I am I just thought someone broke in." He pauses and then starts to tickle me. Uri joins in.

"AHH! Stop it!!" I scream while laughing my head off. My hands are still above my head and Zeke is too strong so I can't get him off of me. I'm pretty strong but the only two people that can beat me in a fight are Uri and Zeke.

I continue laughing and trying to catch my breath till they stop. I take deep breath and finally Zeke let's go of me and I sit up. I give him a 'I'm gonna get you back some day' look and he gives me a 'sure' look.

I realize I still have my backpack on so I take it off and hang it on my hook by the door.

When I turn around, Uri is whispering something into Zeke's ear.

"What" I ask.

"You got another hundred on the test?" Zeke asks me. I nod and smile.

"The highest an Erudite got was a 98." Uriah says. Zeke has a sad face on. I can tell he is getting more worried about me transferring but won't tell me.

Next Day

I wake up at 7 o'clock and take a cold shower to wake me up. I then put my hair in a ponytail and put on my favorite black tank top with a black leather jacket, black legging and combat boots. By the time I'm done, it's 8 and I have an hour till I need to go.

I go downstairs and see that Uriah and Zeke are watching tv.

"Ready to go eat? I ask them. They nod. We head out the door. "Zekey? Can I have a piggy back?" I ask in a baby voice.

"Sure." He says and laughs.

"Yes!" I jump on his back and he takes off running with Uri on our left.

We get to the cafeteria and grab some pancakes. When it's nine o'clock, Eric, our leader, tells us its time to go. I throw my stuff away and give everyone a hug. Four tells me to be brave and Zeke tells me good luck.

Uriah and I head to the school with all the other 16 year olds to take the test.

I didn't realize till we got there that I was so nervous. I must've shown it on my face too.

"Hey. Don't be nervous. It's nothing real it's just going to be a simulation. Zeke said its nothing scary.

We wait outside talking about random stuff till we go inside to wait for our turn.

It takes a while but finally they call Uriah. After 15 minutes he comes out and when he sees me looking at him he smiles and sits beside me. I hold his hand for a second and then they call my name.

(Not going to explain what happens in the simulation since it's all the same as the original version)

I come out and see Uriah smiling at me. I smile back to and all over and sit beside him and think.

Divergent? How can I be Divergent? I mean I know I got three results but why me?

After everyone's done, we head back to the dauntless compound. Lynn and I talk about what initiation will be like and Mar and Uriah talk about who knows what. We get back to the apartment and Zeke asks us how it went.

"Good. But that dog scared me." I say. They laugh.

"What'd you get?" Uriah asks me.

"What'd you get?" I ask him.

"Dauntless and Abnegation." He says. (Sorry i don't know what he really got)

"Divergent." Zeke mutters. Uriah still looks at me waiting for an answer.

"Dauntless, Erudite and Abnegation." I say quietly.

"It makes sense we are both Divergent since we are twins." Uraih says.

"You both need to make sure that you do not tell anyone else about your results. It will only stay between us and Four since he is training you, I hope." He says looking at me.

I look down. Tori said that I needed to hide and make sure no one knows that I'm Divergent cause then they will kill me. Will staying in Dauntless help protect me or get me killed?
