Carter was watching TV when he heard knocking on the door. He got off of his couch and walked to the door. As soon as he opened the door, it was pushed open and Sam, Nick and Luke walked inside.

"Hope you don't mind we invited ourselves." Luke said, heading to the kitchen. Carter walked into the kitchen after them, watching them place wings, chips and beer on the table from the bags Carter didn't notice they had.

"What is all this?" Carter asked.

"Since you've been down in the dumps, we decided to come cheer you up." Nick said, pulling out bowls and plates.

"Thanks guys." Carter said, helping them plate the food.

"Are you ever going to tell us what happened?" Luke asked, picking up the food and walking it into the living room. They guys followed him. Carter shrugged.

"There's nothing to tell." They all sat down, turning the TV to a football station. They were quiet for awhile, eating the snacks.

"So you're really going to let Jason and Natalie come to the beach house?" Nick asked, looking over at Carter.

"Yeah, why not? Natalie was already invited and he's like her plus one." Carter explained as if that was simple. The guys just stared at Carter. "What?"

"Where is Carter and what have you done with him?" Luke asked, jokingly but Carter knew he was being serious.

"If she wants to be with him, that's her decision." Carter said thoughtfully. "I'm the one who screwed up." Carter said. He could tell they wanted to ask him what he did but to Carters pleasure, they didn't. They guys stayed for a few more hours, finishing the rest of the food and drinks and talking about random things. While Carter was laying in his bed that night, he was looking through his pictures, admiring the ones with him and Natalie. He blinked his eyes, holding back tears. He wanted to text her or call her to see how she was, how she was dealing with her parents divorce. Was she cutting? Carter sighed and put his phone away. It was getting harder for Carter to keep his feelings inside. He knew he messed up but did she have to move on so fast?

Natalie walked into her apartment to Jason sitting on the couch, in his boxers, a beer in hand. Food was covering the coffee table. Natalie looked at Jason and frowned.

"I guess you're feeling better," she said and walked to her room, setting her bag down and sitting on her bed. Jason came in with an annoyed look on his face still clutching his beer.

"What's your problem today?" He said, trying to keep his balance with the alcohol, "I wake up sick and all you do is bitch the rest of the day."

"I just don't know what you expect from me. I was in school Jason," Natalie replied with a sigh.

"Well, I needed you. Fuck," Jason slurred, raising his voice and leaning against the wall. Natalie didn't say anything, just watched him, "I ju- just missed you Nat." He finished the beer and walked over to Natalie cupping her face in his hands and kissing her passionately.

"I was just thinking when I first met you at that party, fuck you're beautiful,"

Jason drunkenly smiled, seeming to forget the argument. He kissed her again and she let him. The kiss turned to touching and more. When Jason finished, he watched Natalie's face closely as they exchanged breaths.

"I love you, Natalie," he said softly through his heavy panting. Natalie watched him and nodded. She knew it was the alcohol talking but even so she could not form any words. Jason rolled off of her, pulled on his boxers and held Natalie's bare body against him, falling asleep almost instantly.
