Sneaking Out

The ideas for this chapter are some-what obvious for how I came up with them. (*Death of Kenneth in a car crash*)

Red slowly blinked open her eyes. Last thing she could remember was going on a walk alone and someone grabbing her arm and knocking her out. Then everything had gone black.
Red now raised her head and looked at her surroundings.
She sat inside a small, dim room. A light hung in the middle of the room but didn't give off much glow.
Red tried to move but realized she was tied to the chair. She grumbled and tried to tug herself loose but the ropes were tight. Suddenly, a figure approached from the corner of the room. Red stopped moving and watched the figure until the light was shining on him. The stick figure was TDL. Red rolled her eyes.
"What do you want?"
Red grumbled.
"Nothing bad. I'm literally just boreddd. Nothing ever happens and blowing things up is getting boring when you're all alone."
TDL said, being a little dramatic.
"I'm not going to help you blow things up. And if you're not doing anything bad, why'd you tie me up and kidnap me?!"
"Cause you would run and I wanted to talk to you cause it's been awhile. But in the meantime, I just wanted to, I don't know, do something. Got any ideas?"
TDL asked. Red looked at him blankly.
"You serious? Cut me loose if you're serious."
Red said, still not convinced.
"Yeah ok."
TDL pulled out a button-remote thingy and pressed it and the rope fell loose. Red pulled out her hands and stood up.
"Alright. We could take a road trip, go to the movies, go to the beach, I don't know."
Red suggested.
"Ooo, road trip?"
"Sure."
"Yes! How bout you meet me at the gas station down the road with your car?"
"Fine. Tonight though. I don't want to alarm the others."
"Yeah yeah, sure. Don't tell them you saw me. You can go."
TDL dramatically stepped back into the shadows. Red rolled her eyes again. TDL was so dramatic.
Red walked over to a dirty door and walked out of the building.

When Red had found her way home, she headed right up to her room. She packed a few things in a backpack and then snuck back downstairs.
She carefully snuck into the kitchen and was about to snatch the car keys when suddenly Yellow walked in the room.
Red quickly grabbed the keys and stuffed them in her pocket just before Yellow looked up from her phone.
"Oh hi. Watch ya' up to?"
Yellow asked when she saw Red
"Just looking for a snack."
Red said quickly. Yellow nodded.
"You up for fight practice today?"
She asked. Red felt the keys in her pocket. She had about 2 hours until she had to get ready to sneak out.
"Um... Eh... Sorry not today."
Red stumbled.
Yellow raised her eyebrows.
"That's gotta be a first. Are you feeling ok?"
"Yeah! Yeah I'm fine! Are we doing anything tonight?"
"No. You got plans?"
"No, no just wondering."
Red said, waving her hand.
Yellow nodded and then looked back at her phone.
"See ya' later I guess."
She waved her hand at Red and then turned and walked away. Red let out her breath before quickly exiting the kitchen and hurrying back to her room. She pulled out the keys and stuffed them in her bag. She stuffed the bag under her bed and then looked at the clock. She still had plenty of time to do something so she laid down on her bed and eventually drifted to sleep.

Red woke with perfect timing. She looked out the window to see the sun had gone down.
Quickly, she pulled the bag out from under her bed and swung it over her shoulder.
She divised a plan to sneak out her window and down to the car. She would then get in the car and turn it on but she wouldn't turn on the lights. She pulled out her phone and pulled up the GPS to the gas station TDL had told her about.
As soon as she had made it out her window to the ground, she ran to the car and quietly got in. She turned on the motor and flicked off the lights. Silently, she pulled out of the drive and once she had made it to the road, she flicked the car lights back on.
