"Excuse me?" Subhadra was having a hard time trusting her own senses as she looked incredulously at her husband's replica on the mirror.

"You've to dress up as a cowherdess and go to Krishnaa to ask for acceptance" Arjun repeated patiently.

Arjun understood his words didn't have the strength to bring his Krishnaa back, since it was his actions that made her drift away from him, he needed his action to bring her closer. It was important for her to understand her place in Arjun's life not only because her ignorance toward him was hurting Arjun but he knew it was hurting her the same way, he had seen that in her eyes.

Subhadra who was getting ready for the day from already being disappointed about her husband's absence from yesternight, rose on her feet and swivelled around to look straight into his eyes. Was her husband actually asking her to dress up as a cowherdess and visit his first wife to be accepted?

"Acceptance?" She asked while Arjun nodded
as tears welled up in her large brown eyes.

"What if she doesn't accept me, Arya?" She questioned "Will you no longer consider me your wife?"

"It's not about you Subhadra" Arjun heaved a sigh "She will never refuse you, if she wanted she could have done it long ago"

"Then why?" Subhadra just couldn't understand why would he ask her to forego her self respect in front of his first wife "Why you need to put so much effort to make her accept something so common? Why is she reacting so abnormally with me when she readily accepted her other co wives"

"Subhadra it's been one year of our marriage and I've never asked anything from you" Arjun's tone hold the kind of desperation that made Subhadra listen to him as he stepped closer and took her hands in his "But for the first time, I'm asking for your help" Arjun paused to inhale some air "I won't be able to explain you the reason for it would definitely hurt you and trust me Bhadra I want anything but to hurt you"

Subhadra remained silent and took her hands off of his, before sitting back on the stool with tears trailing down her eyes. She was smart enough to guess the reason and why it would hurt her but she didn't dare admitting it. She couldn't see her husband's agony anymore, Her husband needed his first wife and her love to heal and if Subhadra could help him, she would.

Wiping the tears off of her face she rose on her feet and nodded "Where is the dress?"
