Lucifer

It’s been days since I’ve slept. If I wasn’t so tired, I’d answer her undeclared need. It’s not boredom that has her wrestles even if she doesn’t know herself. The cause is obvious to me.
The next couple of days; probably weeks, will be challenging. The witch made the exchange longer than necessary by hiding first; in fear, I came back to hurt her. Then bashing me on the head with an oversized oil lamp. Once she calmed enough to listen and realize I wanted her to perform a spell. The exchange went smoother.
The moment she made a connection with dark faery, Wrath was the first to answer. Like a dog protecting its territory.
He wasn’t overly eager to enter Mica’s land, but it was Rosa who’s concern for Tallisa sealed the deal. Wrath is so wrapped around her finger that the thought of her slightest distress has him searching for a creature to slay. He’s probably the worst person for the job and is likely to bring back Mica’s head instead of the soul I need to swap. Even if he managed to keep his teeth out of Mica’s neck. I can’t bear the thought of him in my home. Seems I’m wrapped as well.
She’s still asleep.  I watch her from the monitor. Her long red hair is tousled amongst the pillows. Strands of strawberry blonde and deeper scarlet make it look alive; as if on fire. I love it when she wears it down in the sun, on a windy day. It’s mesmerizing. Her bow-shaped lips are slightly open. The puckered pink skin looks as smooth as a rose petal.
The pristine white duvet I picked especially for her is drawn tight to her neck, covering her lavish body like a shield. Taunting me to rip it away and turn it red!
“That’s rich!”
His voice sets me instantly on edge.
“How did you get past my gates without me sensing you?”
I ignore Wrath’s offended demeanor. My house. My rules, and it’s none of his fucking business! He stands against the doors frame looking smug and contrite. All brawn and no brain, that one.
“Druid magic, you should know.”
I ignore the jibe and tell him to wait downstairs in the dining area. When I see Ozar engage him, I unlock the door separating our rooms. I draw the blanket down with my index finger, breathing her gentle scent deep into my nose. The moment the crisp morning air reaches her breasts, her nipples peak, making my mouth water at the temptation.
She begins to stir. I wet my thumb with my tongue, spreading the wetness across her mouth, slipping it past her lips. She immediately latches, closing her mouth around me. Like a good girl. I stiffen with a twitch, more than eager to replace my thumb with something much bigger, longer, and harder.
She makes a sound, slowly opening her eyes. Go figure the first thing she focuses on is the evidence of my arousal. Good, let her see what’s waiting for her. She reluctantly looks away from my length and pushes my thumb out, struggling back against the headboard.  My tongue catches between my teeth as I smile down at her.
“Good morning, beauty. I never pegged you for someone who woke up starving.”
She grabs the blanket, pulling it back up to her neck.
“What are you doing in here! I thought we had a deal?”
I reach under the blanket, grabbing her thigh, and she kicks me away. sharp genuine laughter fills the air as I react to her sudden rise of panic.
“Didn’t your father teach you not to make deals with the devil?”
She scowls, curling her brows at me.
“I wouldn’t know. The moment I found out I had one, I was forced to live with the devil!”
I laugh harder. She does wonders for my mood. It must be infectious because even she cracks a smile.
“We’ve got company.” I tell her even though I’d rather stay in her room and see where this little morning meet could go. I have to stick to the long game. There is no short gratification with someone like her.
Tallisa jumps up with wide eyes and jiggling breasts.  I had those in my mouth and I’m going to have them there again once more; at the earliest opportunity.
“Wrath? Wraths here?” She says in a panic, slipping on that raggedy blue sweater.
“Yes,” I say, while absently waving my hand toward the main floor.
She puts a leg into her thin, skin-tight black pants, bending over. My head drops down like it’s weighted, catching a glimpse of her black cotton clad arse. It’s a shame I didn’t take the time to explore those curves more thoroughly.  I’m going to have to rectify that.
I follow her down and see Wrath standing in my dining room looking like he owns the place. It kills my souring mood further when he has the audacity to suggest I leave.
“I called you here. I know what’s she’s going to say. Why the hell would I leave?” I can only hope he realizes the temper he’s provoking and on my turf. He’s got balls, I’ll give him that.
“It’s okay Wrath. He can stay.”
You better fucking believe it, buddy. I convey with my eyes. He smirks, and I take a step forward, responding to his challenge. Just fucking try me and see what happens.
Tallisa looks between us, highly annoyed. She reminds me why he’s here in the first place and I back off with a nod of my head, letting him know he’s nothing to me.
“You know that place we got Amber from?” she asks.
He nods.
“Vaguely, but I know the entrance isn’t in a cave. Like you think it is. That was just a mirage he set.”
Of course he did. Drag the chase out so you’ve got time to attend your own business. I would have seen through that.
“I’m not following.” Tallisa argues.
“He wanted your friends to jump through hoops.” I tell her.
“The devil’s right in this. There’s a simpler way in, but with every reality melting into another, it could be very dangerous.”
Pussy! I roll my eyes at him. Showing him what kind of man I think he is.
“It can be done, but he’s not worth it. What’s the reason I’m risking my neck?”
Fucker. I nearly knock him into next week. That was a cheap shot and in front of my woman. He’ll pay for that.
“He didn’t tell you?”
She looks at me accusingly.
Ouch.
She’ll pay for that as well, maybe tonight.
“He’s going to help take down Cael, he promised.”
“And you believe him?” Wrath scoffs.
“Watch it, fairy!” I warn. He doesn’t like it when I call him that. I Inwardly laugh at his ire over the insult. I know the distinction between a fae and fairy.
“I do.” Tallisa says, interrupting our stare down.
“Believe him. That is. I do believe Lucifer will help me, us.” She continues. I smile snidely at Wrath with my back to her. He looks aggravated, and it irks Tallisa. That’s my girl. This bothers him more than anything.
He looks at me but directs His question to her.
“What has he done to you? Has he hur-”
“Careful fairy! Don’t throw accusations on my turf. The last thing you want to do here is offend me.”
“He hasn’t done anything! Lately. That’s not the point. I’m fine. Will you help or not?”
Wrath breaks the stare first to look at Tallisa, and scowls.
“Yes. For you and Rosa, but don’t be surprised when he lets you down, Tally.  You never make deals with the devil.”
I barrel towards him, but he teleports out just before I can grasp him.
“Why do you have to be such an ass!” Tallisa storms away before I can respond. For a morning that looked promising, it turned around fast.
