Taehyung's POV:-

People were really mesmerized by my singing that they started to look at me and just started to vibe to the song. 

There are many new couples who became friends to lovers.

After 10pm many were waiting for me. 'My fans maybe' I thought. I went to them and greeted them.

"You are V from Vante right? One of them asked.

"Yep it's me, You need something from me?" It's already too late and I needed rest but what can I do now...

"I am a huge fan of you V! Can I take a picture with you?" She asked.

"Um... sure, no problem" I just wanted to get the heck out of here.

"V you work here as a part-timer? If so I will come everyday here!" She asked and the girls started giggling.

"Sorry I don't work here and even if I did you need to respect my privacy and just leave me alone." I replied firmly and left from there.

I just want to know... Are they actually humans or devils from hell? Like it's already late so just after a photo you should say your bye's and leave not asking more when you are still tired.

People were looking at me weird as it's already 10:30pm now and I am roaming like a maniac on the night streets. 

I am Kim Taehyung. 22 years, born in 1995. I go with the name V for my YouTube channel Vante. I actually work as a small singer in many restaurants in Seoul and earn a living. I release song covers and also my own produced songs in my channel.

Finally I reached my home.

"I'm home!" I shouted but realized that my parents are not home.

I was surprised for a second even though it was normal that my parents are not home. I mean when I left for work they were there

Then I got a call from my mom.

"Hello dear..." My mom spoke first.

"Yes mom?" I replied.

"We are so sorry son, we know tomorrow is your birthday and we are not there to celebrate it with you. Even your father is upset. Actually we made plans for tomorrow my son, but we got a call that one of our patient is in serious condition and that we need to be there immediately."

"Ok mom I understand" I replied

"So son I am so sorry..., I think you are home now so you can ask your friends to come over tomorrow. And also, I prepared you a cake! It's your favorite strawberry cake! it's in the fridge. I will try to make a video call tomorrow but don't expect much my son..."

"Don't worry mom if you are busy it's completely fine and thank you so much for the cake."

"Mam please come we need to perform the surgery."

"I am coming!"

"Ok son good night and advance happy birthday for my bear. We will go somewhere when we reach home ok?"

"Ok mom, bye love you" I replied and the phone the call ended.

I went to the fridge and opened it.

There was a strawberry cake for me but not even my name is written on it. More then that, the cake is brought from outside meaning it's not made by my mom.

Well this is the same situation from past 7 years so you can say I am kind of used to it.

"I atleast got a cake to celebrate by myself this year, last year I didn't even know they left for the work..."

I went directly to the bathroom to take a quick shower and just wanted to forget what happened just now.

My parents are not there for his son's birthday. It's not like this was the 1st time. To be exact this is the 7th time.

I know my parents are very busy but atleast stay for your son's birthday.

My parents are the well known doctors in Seoul and their demand is very high. So I wont usually see my parents in my house. This was happening from when I was a kid the only thing which was different was I had my grandparents then but not now.

I spent my whole childhood and teenage years with my grandparents but sadly they died because they were too old. I was devastated when I heard the news. I was even more terrified about the fact that I have live alone my next few years.

I never blamed my parents tho. They have no choice. That's their passion, that's their job. A doctor. Who saves people every day.

But my only wish was just to go out to a vacation. Just the 3 of us. No work. Nothing. Just us relaxing and enjoying.

Or a day-off in the house where we just cook food or do any other silly things.

Just the 3 of us.

Is it too much to ask?

I came out of shower took my pajamas and just fell on the bed and slept. I was tired and heartbroken at the same time. I knew to not have any expectations on them but now I learned my lesson again.

I woke up the next morning. It was 7:00am.

'Why am I awake this early in the morning?' 

I tossed and turned but I didn't get any sleep so I just woke up and freshed up. I just wore a normal top and baggy jeans and went out to the streets.

'I should stop thinking about this and start thinking about my audition.'

Yes, I was actually asked by an agency to work for them. But I need to ask my parents permission. I also need to send my recorded vocals with my own composed song to them, kind of like an audition.

I am thinking of recording 'fri(end)s' as that's a song known by few people.

That also means I need to leave my part-time job. Thank god! I really hated that job.

I came after a quick walk and started unpacking the cake.

"Happy birthday to me I guess, I am turning 23 today, yeah..." I just cut it into pieces and ate it.

Even tho it was my favorite I hated it.

It's like I am missing something which is making this cake taste bad.

Then the house door bell rang.

I went to the door just to find an advertisement of a chatroom simulation. It had the following sentences:

I didn't know why but I literally started jumping like a monkey. I was just happy to think that I could finally make friends.
