After the attack at Haven Academy, many of the survivors were working hard at rebuilding both the kingdom of Mistral and Haven Academy...with Lionheart leading the construction. as for why he's still alive, it's because he hid in a bunker and stayed in there until the Arcadian Empire left
After the attack on Argus, team RWBY, Ren, Nora & Qrow managed to sneak out of the city and managed to steal a surviving bullhead shuttle to leave the Arcadian Occupied city of Argus and set course for what remains of the Kingdom of Vale and Beacon Academy
But in Blake's point of view, she realized that all of this chaos was mostly her and everyone else's doing and decided that she wanted to not be a part of them any longer.....and that she finally realized that the faunas are not Misguided at all, they just wanted revenge on their human oppressors and chose to follow Jaune so he can get revenge on everyone who wronged him and the faunas, took her long enough, honestly
(AT THE STAR FORGE)
we see Jaune sitting on his throne with his sisters, his nephew Adrian and his droid HK-47 were standing next to him while Rika and Adam were kneeling down in front of their leader, wondering what he has planned for them
Jaune: now, i bet you two are wondering why i called you in here. right?
They both nodded as Jaune then stood up from his Throne and stared down at Rika & Adam
Jaune: I have a mission for you two.
He gestured his sister, Maria Arc, to come forward as she then pulled up a hologram of Haven Academy in front of them
Jaune: I want you two to go to Haven Academy and bring me Headmaster Lionheart... alive.
They nod and stood up, but before they could walk away to begin their mission...Jaune spoke up once again
Jaune: also, HK-47 will tag along with you both. He'll know what to do once you get to Mistral. and honestly, i was planning on sending an invasion force to Mistral anyway, I don't wany any rebellions being formed against my empire.
Jaune: immediately.
(MISTRAL)
In an Arcadian Gunship, we see HK-47, along with Adam, Rika and a squadron of Arcadian Troopers sitting down as HK-47 began to explain the mission
HK-47: explanation: once we arrive at Haven Academy, we slaughter anyone who gets in our way and capture the headmaster of Haven Academy. Here's the layout of the academy.

HK-47: Statement: once we start invading Mistral, we storm Haven Academy and make our way to Lionheart's office where Rika will knock him out. Then we'll escort the meatbag to my master and we'll find out what kind of secrets Lionheart has been hiding.
Adam nodded in understanding, then he spoke up
Adam: okay, so we will split into two groups. I'll lead my group against the humans while you and Rika storm the academy and capture that traitor, Lionheart.
Rika: good idea, Adam.
then as the gunship landed, they see that Mistral has already fallen into chaos as many of the Mistral police are fighting against the Arcadian invaders
HK-47 then pulls out his blaster pistols and hummed in delight
HK-47: excitement: here I go killin' meatbags.
then HK-47 & Rika run out from the shuttle and head towards Haven Academy while Adam joined in with the Arcadian troopers to fight against the Mistral Police
(Haven Academy)
In the headmaster's office, Professor Lionheart was freaking out at seeing the chaos that's happening in Mistral and he didn't want to die by the hands of the Arcadian Empire, so he immediately decided to run out through his office doors so he can escape the Kingdom and hide, like a coward (EVEN THOUGH HE IS ONE)!!!!
But then as the cowardly lion faunas headmaster was running through the halls, he ran into a bunch of students, who's heads were sliced off by Rika, who the noticed Lionheart standing at his spot in fear before running away
Then after Lionheart went behind a wall and began waiting for Rika to go away, he was then knocked out as he made a goofy, knocked out-looking, face

Then his body fell on the floor as HK-47 revealed himself as the one who knocked the professor out, then the droid started dragging Lionheart's numb body down the hallway so the mission will be completed
(At Vale's Ruins)
After team RWBY & NR's bullhead arrived at the ruins of the Kingdom of Vale, they were met by the survivors of Beacon Academy, which are the surviving students, Port, Oobleck, Glynda, and Qrow Branwen
Later, while everyone was sleeping, Blake stayed awake and was thinking about all the stuff she had done to Jaune and the reasons why she was being such a dick to him, so she got up, wrote a goodbye note and left the Kingdom of Vale and made her way to the nearest Arcadian Occupied village and/or city
As for why she left....... she now seeks redemption on what she did to Jaune and for leaving the white fang in the past
