There's something scary about being alone in the dorms. I mean, it's not often everyone is out and I'm being left alone at home.
I'm trying to distract myself by writing some lyrics while listening to a new track I made yesterday.
If you're questioning where my members have gone, I have no idea either.
I only know Minhi and Bora are choreographing the title track to our upcoming album. My predictions are that Gaeun is doing some leader stuff and I have no idea what Akari and Dawn are up to.
You would think they would enlighten me with their daytime activities, but they didn't. I'm kind of disappointed.
I decide I may should just do something fun as well, so I put my notebook away and text Jisung if he's free. Waiting for his response, I talk with some fans on bubble, until I hear the bell ring.
I leave my phone on the table at the couch and walk to the door, unlocking and opening it, seeing someone I hoped to never see again.
There, I see my father, his eyes filled with rage. He pushes the door further open and grabs me by the collar, throwing the door closed behind him. He holds me against the closed door and plants a punch on my cheek.
"You are a disappointment!" he yells to me and keeps on beating me up. Tears roll down my cheeks and I have no strength, nor am I in the position, to fight back. He just keeps on punching me, until I hear my ringtone ring through the dorm.
My father seems to notice as well. "People talk to you? That surely surprises me." He lets go of me, me falling to the ground while crying, and he grabs my phone, looking at the caller ID.
"Who is Jisung?" he asks and although I don't want to answer him, I'm not able to in this state anyhow. My dad seems annoyed and declines the phone call, sending Jisung to voicemail.
He walks to me and lifts me up from the ground by the collar again. "You're going to show me the way to your boss, JYP, I'm going to make sure you will never be able to be a K-pop idol."
"What did I do to you?" I manage to speak between the sobs. My dad makes his hold onto me tighter. "You are the reason I am bankrupt, that's what you did. Now take me to that guy, or you'll be unconscious in 10 seconds."
We're in the JYP building, outside JYP's office. My dad storms in and I see the guy behind the desk get startled and almost fall off his chair.
"I'm sorry, sir, but you can't just barge in here," JYP says politely yet sternly to my dad, but he doesn't seem to care.
"I want you to fire Nyla Song, or Song Nabi like you guys like to call her, and make sure she isn't able to debut ever again." JYP stands up and sighs. "I'm not in the position to be able to do anything for you about the group Solar Soul anymore. They're under my agency, but fully individual."
My dad seems even more angry and punches JYP on his cheek before storming out, dragging me by my wrist. "Where is your manager?"
At the time we found my manager, my entire wrist has turned white and my veins aren't able to stream blood through it.
My manager, Yejun, sees my eyes and my dad's hold onto me and grows concerned over me and scared for my father. But nonetheless, he stays formal with my dad.
"Fire her," my dad yells at him, making Yejun shrink back in place. He regroups himself again and looks at my dad. "I don't take orders."
My dad slaps him with his free hand and proceeds to grab him by the collar. "You do take orders from me. Fire her."
At that time, Gaeun walks in and sees us. I make eye contact with her and tell her to leave. She hides around the corner and I roll my eyes, not wanting another person I care about to get hurt by my own dad.
"And who are you to decide that?" Yejun has turned angry now as well and doesn't give in with my dad's orders. "No one can tell me how to do my job right, because I know I already do."
My dad laughs at him and throws him on the ground. "You're just a pathetic little baby who doesn't know any manners."
From hearing him say that, I get a confident boost and scoff at him. "I think you're talking about yourself now." My dad turns his head to me and twists my wrist so far that I hear my bone break. I yell out in pain, but my dad just rolls his eyes at me.
He turns back to my manager. "I won't say it again. Fire her or I'm going to get you fired." Yejun still doesn't give in. He looks and nods reassuring at me. "You are in no position to have that power, sir."
Yejun has stood up for me through my whole career, but I won't let him do this for me. I won't let him go against my family to save me. "Please don't do this, dad, I'm begging you."
"Don't call me dad ever again, you have dishonored yourself to me." He lets go of my wrist, which makes the pain even worse, and continues beating me up. Yejun tries to hold him back, but gets thrown away by my dad.
And not long after, I feel and see nothing.
