"HEY, WHOSE THAT?"

Kirra was a troubled kid. She was never one to follow the rules, so when she had camp directors shooting commands down her throat, you could imagine that irritated her a bit.

Kirra had major anger issues, and everyone at Camp Half-Blood would agree.

It was safe to say most kids at camp were afraid of her, mostly because she was the daughter of Zeus, but it didn't really help that she was the only person who could beat Luke Castellan — the 'best' swordsman at camp as he would call himself — in a sword fight.

However, there she stood, leaning against a nearby tree, observing a blonde boy walking with Chiron — who was one of the camp directors — with evident curiosity. He seemed to be new around here, yet there was something about him that felt... different.

She furrowed her brows as she watched Chiron lead the boy towards the Hermes cabin. Her attention quickly shifted to a random Demi-god who walked by her."Hey, whose that?" Kirra asked. She thought her words startled the ginger-haired girl, as she stopped dead in her tracks, looking at the shorter brunette girl like a deer in headlights.

"T-that's, uhm, that's the new kid," the taller girl stuttered over her own words. Kirras eyes dulled when she realized she hadn't scared the girl -- the girl was scared of her. "Yeah, I think he was the one that killed a Minotaur"

"Him? — he killed a Minotaur?" Kirra's eyes quickly moved from the ginger girl, and over to the blonde boy, who was now standing on the stairsteps that lead to the opening of cabin 11. The Hermes cabin.

"Can I go now, or--" The ginger asked, she was fidgeting with her camp necklace, which only had two beads on it.

"Yeah, go," Kirra sighed, as the ginger girl quickly walked away. She hated how scared people were of her. Sure, sure she was very powerful.. but that's nothing she could control.

She sat by the tree for another minute, waiting for Chiron to walk out of the cabin. Once she watched him walk away, she huffed to herself and walked her way toward the Hermes cabin. There was something about this boy, it made her feel like she had to speak to him.

Walking up to the already open door, Luke Castellan quickly caught sight of her, as she walked over to him, and a few of his brothers behind him. "Hey," Kirra smiled softly, as the older boy pulled her into a loose side hug once she got close enough.

Kirra, Luke, and Annabeth got extremely close after what happened on Half-Blood Hill. Kirra would even go as far as to say that she thought the two were close enough that she would consider them her siblings. Well — as close to a sibling as they could get next to Thalia.

"What are you doing in here?" Luke asked. He furrowed his brows as he looked down at the much shorter brunette girl. Though Kirra didn't say anything, she silently nodded toward the blonde boy who was pulling something out of his bag.

"I have a feeling that Annabeth is going to be watching him for a lot longer than a day," Kirra said, pulling away from Luke's hug. She looked back at the boys behind him, who were now looking at the boy Kirra brought their attention to.

"That's the kid, I think he's the one that killed the Minotaur," One of them said. Both Luke and Kirra walked closer to the blonde boy, as the others watched them as if they were crazy.

But, before either of them could say anything, the blonde boy stood up and turned around to face them. "Look, if you guys want to give me a hard time, just do it tomorrow. I can't do anymore today,"

"No, we heard what happened to you on the hill, I just — wanted to say I'm really sorry," Luke said, sending the blonde boy a sympathetic smile. Kirra went along with Luke, even though she knew very little about what happened to him on the hill. She only knew that he apparently killed a Minotaur, after it killed his mom.

"I know what you're going through, believe me," Kirra said, she sent him a soft smile. She knew exactly what the boy was going through, well — Thalia wasn't dead, she was now a tree.

"I'm Luke," Luke introduced himself. The tall brunette held out his hand for the boy to shake, which the blonde reluctantly took.

"Percy," Percy said, letting go of Luke's hand, and offering a handshake to Kirra. The shorter girl took it, softly smiling at the boy.

"I'm Kirra," Kirra smiled, and Percy smiled back at her. He couldn't help but admire her beauty, and if he didn't know any better, he would go as far as to assume she was an Aphrodite kid.

"That's a pretty name,"

"THERE'S SOMETHING...
DIFFERENT ABOUT HIM,"

Later that night, Kirra found herself in her own cabin —
cabin 1, the Zeus cabin. Annabeth sat next to the girl on her bed, as she played with a small ring Kirra had on her nightstand.

"So, you talked with the guy that killed the Minotaur?" Annabeth asked, turning her head so she'd be facing the brunette girl next to her.

"Yeah, like two words," Kirra said, looking down at the bright orange shirt she had on, and started playing with a loose strand on the hem of the shirt.

"There's something... different about him,"

"I'm very aware," said Annabeth. She was one of the few campers who had found him on Half-Blood Hill. Annabeth had been watching him for the first few days when he was in the infirmary, and even now that he was out, she still kept an eye on him.

"No— like, what if he is actually the one?" Kirra asked, looking up from her shirt and back up to Annabeth. Annabeth had been waiting since practically the day she stepped foot in camp to prove herself worthy to her mother. Chiron told her, that one day a demigod would arrive at camp who is fated to go on a quest, and she could go on it — and with every new arrival, she watches.

"Well, I'm still watching him, aren't I?"

Kirra laughed, leaning down against the pillows on her bed. "If Chiron finds out you're not in your cabin this late at night, you might lose some dessert privileges for a while,"

"You're right," Annabeth groaned, before standing up from Kirra's ridiculously comfortable bed.

"Goodnight, Kie," Annabeth said, starting to walk out of Kirra's already dark cabin.

"G'night, Stalker," Kirra laughed, turning over on her side to get more comfortable. Annabeth didn't say anything back though, she just gave her a sarcastic smile, before shutting the door to her cabin.
