*UPDATED*
After dinner, that jet lag was hitting me pretty hard, so I decided it was time to go home and go to bed. "I loved having you over; This was so much fun!" Clare said excitedly, hugging me tighly then pulling me away. "I'm picking you up for school tomorrow, ok?” "Ok! I'd love that!" "Ok, but be ready by 7:30 a.m.," she reminded me. "I will!" And with that, I got in my car and left their breathtaking home.
When I got to our new abode, I was surprised that it was so nice! It was a cute traditional town-house, with gorgeous wood doors, a carefully carved stone exterior, flowerpots containing exotic plants, and beautiful garden on the side. I was so tired all I did was unpack my toothbrush, toothpaste, and hair brush. As I was getting my PJ's on, Mom came into the bathroom.
"Hey sweetie, how was dinner?" She asked, kissing my cheek and pulling me in for a quick side hug as I brushed my hair. "It was great! I really had an awesome time." I said chirpily, looking at her happily. "You and Clare really seem to get along well!" "Oh, definitely!” I replied, “We have a ton in common! But...” I sighed, feeling like a jerk, “I just can't trust her yet." "I know sweetie, that'll take time..,” said Mom, putting her hand on my shoulder. “How've you been handling that... situation?" She asked, being careful not to ask too many questions like she normally does. "I don't know. Good, I guess, just tryin to forget it mostly." "I understand... Well I'm gonna hit the hay. I'm exhausted." "Ok mom, good night.." "Good night, Jess!" she called as she closed her bedroom door.
Well, I suppose I should pick out my outfit for tomorrow. I looked up at the clock in my room - 11:30 PM. Holy cow! I have to get to bed or I won’t be able to do anything at all tomorrow!

The Next Morning:
“Beep beep. Beep beep. Beep be-” I slapped my accursed alarm clock so hard it fell off the nightstand. 'Mmmmmm... Eghh... 5 more minutes...' I thought to myself, as I started to slip into my warm, sleepy cocoon when suddenly I sat bolt upright and gasped. "I’M IN FLORIDA! I have school today!!! Aaahhhhh!!!" I yelled, shooting up like a bullet into the bathroom and brushing my teeth at hyperspeed while looking for an acceptable shirt to wear, or a dress.... Hmmm... GAAAHH! Too many decisions!
I finally picked out a orange-and-cream dress with a brown and white belt and white flats. I then went into the bathroom, found a hair tie, and decided to do a fishtail braid. Once I finished with that, I ran downstairs to find mom making my lunch.
"Good morning, Jess!"
"Morning Mom, when'd you get food?" I asked, impressed.
"I got up this morning and went to the market."
"Oh! Well, Clare should be here soon - AHH! My bag, I almost forgot it!"
I ran upstairs and unpacked my brown messenger bag. Panting, I ran back downstairs to the kitchen.
“Is my lunch almost ready?"
“Sure is! And I simply adore your outfit today!" replied my loving Mom.
“Haha! Here..." I pouted and did a cute pose, just for kicks.
"Eeeeeeee!!!!! Too cute!" she said, imitating me. She then reached over and pinched my cheeks,
"AHH! Mom!"
Just as I was rubbing my cheeks, I heard a car horn.
"That’s Clare! Bye, Mom!" I said, grabbing my lunch bag.
"Bye Jess! Be careful!"
"I will!" I finally closed the door and sighed. Sometimes moms are so embarrassing...
I got in Clare's car and instantly I heard, "Jess!!! OH MY GOSH!!! So cute!!!" I laughed, glad to have a friend once more. "Thanks! You're cute, too!!" She had on black leather skinny jeans and man, did she pull them off! She also wore an aqua top with a white-gold belt and cobalt blue high heels. She is definitely a fashionista. "Now! Off to school!"
