The day has come for the tributes to fight for their lives. They went back to the arena, but it was all damaged and they had more areas to hide. Viola looked around for places to hide and saw a fan that looked like it could open. All she had to do was stay quiet till everyone or just her and Lucy were alive. Lucy and Viola stood on the marks waiting for everything to start so that she could hide. Then a voice on the PA started to count down. "Ten, nine... eight, seven, six, five... four, three... two, one." The alarm went off as Lucy looked at Viola saying, "Run." Viola went up to the fan seeing that everyone was distracted. She just stayed hidden.
Viola sneakily walked over to the fan opening to see no one out there. She was scared that Lucy would get caught with the goons that Reaper was leading. Viola started to get tired as she fell asleep hoping to take a little nap. Suddenly she saw that Lucy was getting cornered by Reaper and his goons. Viola whispered to herself, "Corio, please please please take care of her. She's the only family I have." Viola took a breath as she watched what was happening. She saw that Lucy was on the move, so she opened the door quietly so that Lucy could come in.
"Viola! You're safe." The two girls held each other in their arms. "Where's Jessup?" Viola asked Lucy making her sigh and say, "He died of rabies." Viola sighed as they sat. Hours go by as Viola said, "How many do you think are out there?" Lucy shook her head and said, "No idea cuz. Hopefully not a lot." Then suddenly someone was calling Lucy as there were holes being cut into the air gut. Lucy grabbed something and put it in through one of the vents. Suddenly you hear someone coughing and dying. Lucy and Viola got out of the air gutter but were trapped by reaper. Then they saw a tub as the tub burst open with snakes. They ran onto the highest area they could when someone yelled, "Lucy Gray, wait!" But it was too late.
The girls sat together as the snakes came closer and closer. Viola started to whimper as Lucy sang, "♪ You're headed for heaven. The sweet old hereafter. And I've got one foot in the door. But before I can fly up. I've loose ends to tie up. Right here in the old therebefore. I'll be along...♪ Viola continued,
"♪ When I've finished my song When I've shut down the band. When I've played out my hand. When I've shut down the band. I have no regrets...right here. In the old therebefore. ♪" Lucy and Viola looked at each other then the camera singing with so much passion. "♪ I'll catch you up. When I've emptied my cup. When I've worn out my friends. When I've burned out both ends. When I've cried all my tears. When I've conquered my fears. Right here in the old therebefore. When nothing is left anymore. I'll bring the news. When I've danced off my shoes. When my body's closed down. When my folks run aground. When I've tallied the score. And I'm flat on the floor. Right here in the old therebefore. When I'm pure like a dove. When I've learned how to love. Right here in the old therebefore. When nothing is left anymore. When nothing is left anymore. ♪"
