The next morning Viola and Lucy were waiting for Corio at the Hanging tree. "♪ Are you. Are you. Coming to the tree. Where they strung up a man. They say who murdered three. When Lucy said, "Are you thinkin' about Sejanus?" Corio looked back at Lucy and said, "I just wish there was more I could've done. I'm sorry ya'll have to leave this place." Viola smiled at Corio saying, "Yeah, I'll miss the Covey. Hope they'll follow me someday, though. You know what I won't miss? People." Corio chuckled at what Viola said.
"People aren't so bad. Not really. It's what the world does to them. Like all of us in the arena. I think there's a natural goodness born into us all." Lucy scoffed at this, seeing how easily Coriolanus was manipulating her cousin, and she was past the point of no return. "No, really. You can either cross that line into evil... or not. And it's our life's work to stay on the right side of that line." Lucy looked back at Corio as she said, "I'm a victor. Sure, will be nice not to have to kill anyone else up north, though, huh?" Corio nodded, saying, "Three's enough for me. I'm gonna make a walking stick. You want one?" Luckily Viola was far up and Corio made sure this was to happen when Lucy said, "You killed three? Who's the third? Person, you killed, Coriolanus. You said you killed three people. I only know about two. Do not lie to me."
Corio walked over to her and said, "Can you help me get this out?" Lucy shoved his hand down and said, "There was Bobbin in the arena and Mayfair. And who's the third?" Corio smirked and said, "My old self. I killed him so I could come for you. Take her away from you Lucy Gray. She belongs in the capitol as a Snow." Lucy clenched her jaw when they heard Viola's voice and Corio said, "Coming Viola." Corio smirked back at Corio as they went over to the cabin as it started to pour. "Why don't we stop here at the cabin? Wait out the storm?" Lucy shook her head and said, "We should really keep going." Viola ran up to Lucy and said, "We're gonna need food, LuLu." Corio walked up and said, "Let's catch some fish while we're here."
They walked into the cabin as Viola said, "If you want to fish, there's rods under the floorboards." Corio nodded, walking over to the floorboard but he went silent as Lucy said, "What is it?" Corio got up showing the gun. "The one you fired at Mayfair. Spruce must have known about this place. If we destroy that gun, you're free. You can go back home." Viola looked at Corio who then looked at her with a smile. "No more loose ends." Viola said, walking over to Corio giving him a kiss.
