The Covey family plus Coriolanus were walking through the forest as Lucy Gray started to sing, "♪ Oft I'd heard. Of Lucy Gray. And when I cross the wild. A chance to see at break of day. ♪" Lucy wasn't happy that Coriolanus was with them since she was seeing that he was slowly manipulating Viola. "♪The solitary child. And then an open field they crossed. The marks were still the same. ♪" Viola and Corio ran and jumped into the water enjoying each other's company making Lucy pay very close attention to Coriolanus to make sure that nothing happens. "♪ They tracked them on. Not ever lost. And to the bridge they came. They followed from the snowy bank. Those footmarks one by one. ♪" The couple laid on the ground getting dry as Corio was stilling kisses from Viola making her blush. "♪ Into the middle of the plank. And further there were none. Yet some maintain that to this day. She is a living child. That you may see sweet Lucy Gray. Upon the lonesome wild. ♪"

Corio loved being around Viola hoping that he could plan to whisk away to a life in the capital with him. "I've never seen those birds before." Corio looked up in the sky making Viola smile, saying, "Mockingjays, we call 'em." Corio then looked at Lucy who had a frown upon her face. Corio knew why this was happening but didn't care as he said, "Does she survive? Lucy Gray, in the song? The footprints?" Lucy gave a fake smile and said, "Maybe she flew away. I'm sure she's out there somewhere. She's a survivor. But it's a mystery." Viola smiled at her cousin as Corio grabbed something out of his bag, handing it to Viola. "I brought you something. It was my mother's. I'd like for you to have it." Viola took the shawl from Corio making her blush as she said, "Mmm. It still smells like roses. Thank you. I'll take good care of it, I promise."

Corio leaned in but Lucy interrupted the moment, making Corio furious. "You must miss your family so much out here." Viola looked up at Corio as he said, "I do. I worry about them all the time." Viola smiled up at Corio and said, "Would you really go back, though? If you could? To the Capitol?" Corio looked down at her and said, "I have to. It's where I belong. But I hope you'll come back with me." This made Viola sit up and say, "Me?" Corio nodded, taking her hand and said, "I love you, Viola Greenward. I've thought about it and I love the thought of you with my last name Viola Snow."

That was when Maude brought something over to Viola as she looked at it. "Well, it's a little early yet, Maude Ivory." Maude shook her head as Corio asked, "Early for what?" Viola showed him the plant saying, "To eat the roots. Pretty little thing, but it's determined. Some people call it "swamp potato." But I think "katniss" has a much nicer ring, don't you?"
