The room was cold and dark, the only source of light coming from a single flickering bulb in the ceiling. In the center of the room stood a large glass box, and inside was me, the hostage. I was huddled in the corner, my eyes wide with fear as I watched the villain, Lennox, approaching me.

I knew Lennox was a cold, sadistic man who enjoyed watching me suffer. He stood outside the glass box, a sinister smile gracing his lips as he watched me tremble. "Well, well, well," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "It seems you've finally woken up, Angelica."

I didn't respond, I simply stared at him with wide, tear-filled eyes. I had been held captive by Lennox for what felt like an eternity. And every day, he would subject me to unimaginable torture, just for his sick entertainment.

But today was different. Today, Lennox had something new planned for me. He had placed me in the glass box, so he could watch my every move, like a caged animal. And now, he stood before me, a key in hand.

"I am feeling generous today, my dear," Lennox said, his voice dripping with false kindness. "I am going to release you from this glass prison."

My heart skipped a beat. I had dreamed of escaping, of being freed from this hell. But now that it was happening, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear. What was Lennox planning to do?

As if reading my thoughts, Lennox chuckled. "Don't worry, Angelica. I'm not going to hurt you. Not yet, at least," He added with a wicked grin.

He inserted the key into the lock and turned it, releasing the latch. The glass box slowly opened, and I cautiously stepped out, my eyes never leaving Lennox. I knew better than to trust him, but I had no choice.

He led me down a dark, cold hallway, his grip firm on my arm. I couldn't understand what was happening, why Lennox was suddenly being so kind. But I knew better than to let my hopes rise, for I had learned the hard way that Lennox was a master at playing mind games.

We finally reached a large white door, and I couldn't help but feel a sliver of hope. The door opened with a loud creak, and Lennox gestured for me to step inside. I cautiously entered, my heart pounding with anticipation.

To my surprise, I found a small, but beautiful bedroom, complete with a comfortable bed and a warm fireplace. I was taken aback, unable to believe my eyes. I turned to look at Lennox, who was still standing at the doorway with a small smirk on his face.

"This is your new home, Angelica," He said with a twisted glint in his eye.

I couldn't understand what was happening. Was this some kind of a sick joke? But as I looked around the room, I realized it wasn't. Everything had been carefully set up, from the soft blankets on the bed to the fresh flowers on the windowsill.

"Why are you doing this?" I finally managed to ask, my voice trembling with fear and confusion.

Lennox walked closer and stared down at me with his cold, piercing eyes. He placed his finger under my chin and forced me to look up at him, "Because I love to see you suffer, my dear. And there's no greater suffering than being forced to live with the person who has broken your heart."

My heart sank. I knew I was trapped, and there was no way out. Lennox had finally found a way to break my heart without laying a hand on me.
