You've been leaned up against the tree for a while now.

You've started to calm down slightly, you can breathe properly again.
Your eyes are stained red and they sting from how much you were crying.

But you've stopped crying now. You're sitting there trying to breathe and think now.

You lean your head back against the tree, still trying to get a grip on yourself.
You close your eyes and try to breathe slowly, but the thought of Lee just flashes in your head again.

The image of him ripping and tearing into the innocent man's flesh, the sounds you just heard, the smell. Your whole body just feels weak.

You can hear Lee walking from a distance, coming closer to you.

You were behind a tree not visible to him, but that didn't mean he didn't know where you ran off to. You didn't run far.

You hear the footsteps getting closer, and you know that Lee is looking for you.

You feel like he knows exactly where you are, and that he has no problem finding you. He starts to walk around the area, getting closer and closer to you with every step.

"Y/n." He says quietly, he's standing right behind you, on the other side of the tree.

You stay silent for a few moments, hoping he would just go away.

You just wanted to be alone for a while. You didn't want to talk to anybody, especially not him.

After a few more moments of silence, you realized Lee wasn't going to leave yet.

"What do you want?" You ask in a cold tone.

He walks over to you, now standing in front of you. But you can't maintain eye contact with him, you look at the ground, not wanting to look at him.

"I just want to talk to you." He says. You can still hear the guilt and stress in his voice.

"There's nothing we need to talk about." You say sharply, still unable to look at him.

You just witnessed him commit a serious crime, the last thing you want to do now is talk to him about it.

If anything, right now there are countless things he should be trying to explain to you, as if that would make anything better. But he just simply wants to "talk to you", as if that is somehow going to make up for what he did. In your mind, it doesn't make any sense.

"Okay." He says in a quiet but understanding voice.

He still stands there, not going away yet. Which was stressing you out even more. The last thing you want right now is his presence after what just happened.

"Why are you still here? Go away." You finally spit out after moments of unbearable silence.

Your sharp reply startles him a bit, and he finally takes a step back.

He didn't expect you to snap at him like that, but he definitely shouldn't have been surprised by it. He should've left you alone, and not bothered you even more after what you just witnessed.

Finally, he turns around and starts to walk away. He doesn't respond back to you as he starts to walk off. He just keeps walking, not looking back.

When he's no longer in sight, you start crying quietly again. You had no idea what to do next.

It's been 2 hours since all of that happened now.

You're sitting in your room in silence. You had felt better now that you did some mindfulness activities and calmed yourself down slightly.
But you still couldn't think straight.

After Lee had left your sight, you walked back to your car and sat in it for a while waiting for any sign of Lee just in case.

You were so mad at him but you still didn't want to leave him in the middle of nowhere alone with no way to get back home.

But you waited for nearly an hour and there was no sign of him, so you drove your dad's car back home thinking he might have gotten a taxi back or something.

You tried to relax yourself, maybe even take a nap. But every time you close your eyes, you think about it, you think about him. It flashes through your mind constantly and it won't go away.

You already knew what Lee was like before you had gotten so close with him, but it still didn't stop you from loving him.

You still did love him.

Even after everything. You just didn't take it as well as you thought you would have after seeing it for yourself.

Time goes by, you're still lying in your bed. Doing absolutely nothing. No matter how hard you try you can't get the images of the murder you witnessed out of your mind. You knew this was probably going to take a long time to get over.

You look over at your clock, it's already 7 pm. You've just spent hours in your bed doing nothing.

You finally decide to get up.

You thought maybe reading a book might cheer you up a little bit, you've always loved reading. It was a great hobby of yours.

You pick out a book and begin to read it from where you last left it.

But every few moments, you keep thinking about Lee, still unable to stop thinking about him.

You don't know why you're even worrying about him after what he did. You're hoping that he's okay. Especially since you left him and he was supposed to be staying with you. But you hoped he had gotten a taxi and found somewhere else to stay. To be fair, you waited a long time for him to come to the car and you didn't have to do any of that despite what he did.

You continue to read in your bed until you start to slowly drift off to sleep. Your body was too exhausted to stay awake with all the panicking and crying you did today.
