the emergency room

Last year I was waiting in the waiting room of the E.R. I saw a girl with long, cherry red hair down to her hips, big full lips that were a baby pink that were glossy. I wondered what she was doing here. I was here because of my friend, she had gotten in a car wreck. I sat there on my phone with my ankles crossed and my hair tied up in a messy bun. My glasses were falling off. I pushed them up slightly to stay on the bridge of my nose.

The girl seemed to have trouble staying in one spot, her legs were bouncing or she was pacing around the room. She looked around my age, maybe older. I stood up and went to sit next to her. I sat softly crossing my legs, putting my right over my left.

I asked her softly, "Who are you here for?"

"My mother, she was in a car accident," she replied, picking her head up to look at me.

I looked into her eyes with sympathy and her eyes, they were the most beautiful green. They were swelled up with tears.

I put my hand out, "Lexi, Lexi Smith, nice to meet you."

She slowly put hers out, "Angeline Davis." She smiled.

I tried to distract her with everything I thought of. From talking about cats to where her mother got into the accident. I took my hair down to put it back up. I put a little clip in my hair to keep it up. I looked back at her and saw her looking at her phone. She wasn't pacing or bouncing her leg so maybe I helped her? Or maybe that's how I thought of it. And I wanted to keep it that way. I looked at her beautiful green eyes.

I would want to describe them as an emerald looking back at me, but no that's too little. Her eyes were a jade color. They were beautiful, enjoyable to look at. I loved looking at them. I only met her an hour ago but she was so beautiful. Her eyes aren't even the best part, her cherry red hair was shining in the dim light.

She was like an angel, an angel sent from heaven. Her name was called and the way she looked up made me fall in love with her. She was so pretty and just the way she laughed was adorable. But once her name was called I never saw her again.
