MATT ALWAYS PARKED DOWN THE street on nights like these. when the air was already thick the second he drove onto jules's street. he could feel the tension radiating from inside her house all the way inside his car. he wished that he could always protect her from the harsh love of her mother. it crossed his mind plenty of times, her living with them instead of here.
trying to match the beat of the song he was listening to, he tapped his fingers repeatedly on the steering wheel, as well as his foot on the floor. the amount of anxiety he felt trying to anticipate when jules would walk around the corner was staggering. it was all about the waiting for what she was going to come out with this time.
