CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
EDWARD AND HIS STUPID HUMAN GIRL

EDWARD was making the wrong decision.

Stupid for Thea to believe anything that came out of that boy's mouth when it came to Isabella Swan. He said they shouldn't be friends, yet here he is, standing by the salad bar and talking to her.

Is it the chase? Is it because he is unable to read her mind that he is 10 times more curious of this human?

"Do you think he's going to tell her?" Rosalie breaks the family's silence at the lunch table.

"He wouldn't." Emmett shakes his head.

Thea scoffs, "I don't know. He seems to be doing a lot of things that I would've claimed he'd never do."

Thea heard Bella invite Edward to La Lush, to which he replied "It's just a little crowded."

Thea rolled her eyes. If she was human, she knows she would be at that beach every single day. Thea loved beautiful sceneries and the most beautiful one, she just so happens to not be able to enter into because of being a vampire.

"Can I have the keys to the jeep?" Thea asks her brother, to which he picks them from his pocket.

"Everything okay?" Emmett was quick to worry.

"Yeah, I just can't stay in this cafeteria." Thea scoffs, her reasoning clearly being Edward and Bella.

Alice follows after her, they reach the parking lot. "Thea."

"Alice, I love you, but I don't want to hear some speech about how I need to calm down or about how I'm overthinking this entire thing." Thea sighs, unlocking the jeep and sitting in the driver's seat while Alice takes the passenger seat.

Alice shakes her head, "I was going to ask if you wanted to talk about it."

"I have talked about it." Thea claims, "on multiple occasions."

"You know this can get us killed right?" Thea raises a brow, "This is putting everyone at risk, including Isabella!"

"She doesn't know."

"Not yet." Thea scoffs, "That girl is smart but she's also too damn curious for her own good. She doesn't know what she's getting herself into and Edward is just leading her on to believe they can be friends—I mean—it's reckless!"
