i tapped my pencil furiously on my desk as i waited impatiently for our teacher to come to class. i don't get why the fuck he isn't here yet, i mean he's the damn teacher for fucks sake. i wasn't really involved with most of the people in my math class. my 'clique' are in different classes and i really don't talk to people much, except for the people i know that won't cross me over. you see, i view my social life differently. you're either an a stranger or you're family; there is no  in between.

i felt something lightly hit the back of my head and i turned around to see a very amused michael clifford. i rolled my eyes, already not in the mood for his games, "listen clifford, one more piece of rolled up notebook paper thrown at me will get shoved up your ass." i said with a devious smile on my face. his face instantly dropped and covered up his laughter with a fake cough.

"aww, why is little anna in a bad mood today? whenever you're pissed math class is always boring." he pouted.

i sighed and forgot why i even was mad in the first place. i fully turned around in my seat and gave a sarcastic smile to michael, "i'm sorry cuntface." and started batting my eyelashes while i held my hands together up to my face, "please forgive me, why i never should have gotten overly pissed at you for throwing shit at my head. will you ever forgive me?" i said while putting on a sweet southern accent. we both paused and started busting out laughing. michael is basically a brother i never had and he's helped me through a lot and has been with me ever since grade 7. he's dating a girl i live with, kimberly, and she's practically my sister.

michael suddenly started getting really excited, "oh my gosh anna, the new 'My Little Pony' movie comes out today!" he exclaimed. i laughed and raised an eyebrow.

"seriously michael? you're about to graduate high school!" i said in between laughs. he looked taken back and pretended to cry and threw a fit.

"what's up with the big purple haired baby?" i heard a familiar voice say behind me. of course, luke hemmings, i'm surprised he showed up before our teacher did. i turned back around in my seat to face him and put back on the same scowl i had on when i left for school this morning. luke and i never actually got along after the incident. we used to be really good 'friends' before but he turned into a complete ass hole all of a sudden and i guess that's how my walls got built up, because he caused it.

"hemmings." i spat.

"very nice to see you too, anna banana." he smirked. he sat in the desk right next to me and i tried my best to ignore him. our teacher gives out assigned seats, which i think is really fucking childish.

i looked over at michael, "where do you think mr. mcconnell is?" all he did was shrug his shoulders.

luke leaned over the aisle, "i know where he is." he whispered-yelled. i looked at him with confusion. he said more words to me today than he ever did before he became a jackass. a new record.

"oh yeah? where is he lucas?" i asked using the name he despised the most. his face got red and i practically felt the heat steaming out of him. i smirked and turned to face the white board.

he took a deep breath and brought himself back together, "i slashed his tires."

my  eyes widened, "luke! what are you, insane?" he shrugged and leaned back in his chair. luke never used to be this way. he used to be shy and innocent. he was super quirky and a little awkward, but i used to love that in him, but some things change. i would be lying if i said i didn't have a crush on luke before, because i really did. i strongly had feelings towards luke, but he was oblivious. i sighed and laid my head on my desk and thought might as well take a nap.

when i woke up, i was still at my desk but i didn't hear any voices. the classroom was empty and my principal was sitting at my teacher's desk.

"ah, you're awake ms.parks." she calmly said. i looked at the clock and noticed it was lunch time.

"did i really sleep through my whole first block?" i asked, and she nodded her head. "jesus christ." i silently cursed. mentally, i was cussing myself out. "i am so sorry ms. ramirez, it won't happen again." i panicked.

"i'll let it slide this time ms. parks." i sighed in relief- "but, i need you to make up for it. a favor."

"of course, anything."  i accepted because i didn't want any consequences and i always liked being on her good side.

"right, well i need you to tutor an arrogant airhead."

"who?" i shrugged, and she pointed to the way back of the classroom and there i saw my worst nightmare coming true.

luke hemmings.

"luke? are you serious?" i was shocked because luke was an all A student, why did he need a tutor?

"mr. hemmings seems to be slacking an awful lot this year, and exams are coming up and i'm not going to let any of you miss out on your chance to get your diploma when you're actually expected to." ms. ramirez said.

"but ms.ramir-" she cut me off. "no 'buts' ms. parks, this is final. tutor him and make sure he passes his exams." she deadpanned coldly.

i shook my head and she exited the classroom. i sighed heavily and looked at the loser in the back of the class, he smiled sheepishly and got up. he walked over to me and he literally towered my petite figure.

"this will be fun, right ann-y?" i cringed at the old nickname he used.
