ni-ki woke up and started getting ready to leave for jays house , which is where the seven were meeting .
he was sitting on his bed cross legged packing his bag , taking more than enough clothes just in case and obviously the essentials.
"RIKI" his sister shouted from downstairs
"YEAH" no reply "YES" still no reply
"oh my god" ni-ki mumbled before going down
"hello i said yes like a million times" he sassed at his older sister , his arms crossed and his eyebrows furrowed
"be nice i made you breakfast"
a "hmph" came from ni-ki before he sat at the dining table eating the food that his sister had prepared
"so...are you going to be okay" konon looked up from her food looking at ni-ki who was playing with his
"mhm" was all ni-ki said
"look ki just enjoy yourself , it's about you and your friends , leave whatever has happened and just have a good time" she ruffled her brothers hair before going to clean the dishes
"oh also mom and dad won't be here when you get back , they're taking sola on a trip for her birthday so say happy birthday before you leave" konon reminded him before continuing to "sing" to her music , but to ni-ki it sounded like pure ear torture
after ni-ki was done packing he quickly said his goodbyes and a happy birthday to sola before making his way to jays house
————- "okay so now that everyone is here we can be on our way" jay announced to everyone in the room "my dad said we can take his car because it's bigger , put your bags in the trunk and get in the car" jay almost sounded like their mother , it made everyone laugh
on their way outside jungwon noticed that ni-ki didn't look like his usual mischievous self "ni-kiiii" jungwon ran up to him swinging an arm around his shoulder
"hm" wow
"is there something wrong" jungwons hyperactive behaviour turned to concern , the younger had never looked this down
there was no reply from the younger
"sit next to me ni-ki okay" jungwon smiled before going ahead to put his bags into the car
————— the seating arrangements went like
jay driving and sunghoon next to him
jake sunoo and heeseung in the middle
and jungwon and ni-ki at the back
the car ride was loud , filled with laughter and singing
being next to jungwon really did cheer ni-ki up , he was the type to care about everyone and try to help in his own way , almost like a leader
"okay ni-ki your turn to choose a song" jay looked at ni-ki through the mirror
"hmm how about best of me by bts" everyone yelled excitedly at the song request
everyone was singing loudly but ni-ki could only focus on one voice , sunoos voice was beautiful and sunoo himself knew that , he wasn't shy to show it either
to ni-ki it was the best sound on earth and without even realising sunoo was staring back at him after feeling the stares on him
ni-ki turned away quickly trying to hide his embarrassed face
—————- arriving at their destination , jays family owned a very big yet modern cabin that the group were staying in

(for reference) everyone walked into the cabin saying their "oohs" and "ahhs"
eventually they had to dedicate rooms , with it being jays he already had a room that he was willing to share with jungwon (obviously) but the rest had to do a good old game of rock paper scissors
"rock paper scissors" they chanted while showing their hands
sunghoon and sunoo were sharing a room
heeseung and ni-ki
jake alone which he wasn't very happy about
ni-ki was not happy , he'd rather be alone but it's whatever
everyone took their things to their rooms and laid out everything for the next week
ni-ki walked into his room seeing heeseung back facing him whilst he was unpacking his things
"look ni-ki" they were now making eye contact as heeseung had turned to face him
"i get that you have some little crush on sunoo but don't ruin this trip for everyone just because you're moping around" heeseung walked past ni-ki hitting his shoulder with the youngest
