"So he left you his number on your fridge? I thought you said he was awkward? And you felt like you would never hear from him again?" Jack said as he looked at the piece of paper Zack handed him.
"I did. I was super into him, and I was actually worried I hooked up with him. Normally I can never get past that stage. So I am as shocked as you are." Zack said as he and Jack sat on his couch.
"Are you going to call or text him? The XOXO seems pretty flirty. He may be in to you too." Jack said plainly.
Zack smiled softly. "Maybe? I will say, he was the cutest. He was being super nice when flirting, not looking at me like a piece of meat like everyone else does.and the sex Jack... my god."
Zack nearly drooled thinking about the sexual chemistry between them.
Jack laughed. "Ok I get it! Can we talk about my date now?"
Zack laughed. "Yes. Of course! How was your date with Vanessa?"
Jack grinned as he launched into his story of his great date with the girl down the hall from them. Zack listened with a smile on his face, excited for his best friend.
As Jack recalled the details of his date he spoke wistfully. "Zack, last night with Vanessa was like something out of a movie. We went to this cozy Italian restaurant downtown, and the atmosphere was just perfect. We shared stories, jokes, and it felt like we've known each other for years. And we kissed as I walked her to her door."
Zack beamed, happy that the chance Jack took, worked out. "Man, that sounds like the dream! I am so happy for you. So, spill it, what's the plan for the second date?"
Jack laughed. "Bold of you to assume we already planned a second date?"
Zack rolled his eyes. "You did. didn't you?"
Jack smiled and blushed. "Yes. We did."
Zack laughed. "Well! Don't keep me waiting, spill the details, Jack!"
Jack beamed as he spoke. "She's got this adventurous side, so we're hitting the hiking trails this Saturday. She found this hidden gem of a spot with breathtaking views of the city skyline at sunset. Can't wait to see it with her."
Zack smiled and bumped shoulders with Jack. "Looks we both had good nights last night."
Jack laughed. "Maybe our love lives are looking up buddy."

The next day, Zack sat on his couch... watching TV after he got done at the gym. He was holding the piece of paper with Alex's flirty note with his number between two fingers. Zack was trying to decide if he should reach out or not.
"Fuck it." He thought. And he pulled out his phone.
He sent a text to the number Alex gave him.
Zack:Reaching out, I got your note- Text me in case you ever find yourself bored. XOXO-Zack
Zack pressed send and hoped that Alex may text back soon. Zack wasn't sure why, but he was drawn to this guy. Maybe it was because he seemed to be into Zack for him and not just his body.
