The string lights Alex and Zack hung illuminated the shimmering pool at The Daylight hotel, a hotel that had a party package. It allows you to reserve the pool for parties and the attached conference room. As they waited for party goers to arrive. Zack paced nervously, the weight of responsibility settling heavily on his shoulders. This wasn't just any party; it was Everly's fourth birthday party.

Zack was determined to make it perfect. This was his first big event he organized for Everly. His sweet sweet girl. With Alex by his side, they transformed the poolside area into a vibrant party space. She wanted a mermaid theme party. So there is lots of mermaid theme decorations around the conference room and the poolside tables. There was mermaid floaties in the pool .

Everly went wide eyed and squealed in delight as her and Alex entered the pool area. Alex had previously taken her to the hotel room they rented to get her in her swimming suit and her life jacket so she could go swimming at her pool party.

"Zacky! There is so many colors and decorations. I love it! Thank you!" She hugged him close.

Zack kissed her cheek. "Anything for you sweetheart. We love you."

Alex winked. "I knew she would love it. You have been worrying for nothing."

Zack took a deep breath. "You are right. I should know better than to question you."

Alex laughed. "He's learning!"

Zack rolled his eyes over his silly boyfriend's actions.

As the guests began to arrive, Zack's nerves reached an all time high.

He wanted this day to be unforgettable for Everly, a testament to his love and dedication to her. As he fussed over the snacks and the children, he also watched the children's laughter fill the air and the joy radiate from Everly's smile, Zack felt a sense of relief wash over him.

This was exactly where he was meant to be—surrounded by loved ones, celebrating the precious gift of family. The precious little girl in his life.

In the pool, Jack and Rian joined the kids in a spirited game of water tag, their laughter echoing across the water. Everly squealed with delight, her tiny hands splashing as she chased after them. Watching from the sidelines, Zack couldn't help but smile at the bond forming between Everly and his best friend.

"ZACKY LOOK AT UNCLE RIAN CHASING ME AROUND." She yelled at him as she floated in her life vest.

As the festivities continued, Alex showed off his culinary magic, he spent last night preparing not one, but three different kinds of mac & cheese for the hungry partygoers. As per Everly's request.

Zack smelled the food and he went and found Alex. They have barely found it moments to see each other today because they both been busy doing separate things at the party. Alex was being bombarded by his family... And Zach was busy making sure everybody had everything they needed and watching over the kids. Jack, Vanessa, and Dina and Rian are both in the pool so he trusted them with the kids.

As Zack approached his boyfriend, he hugged him from behind as he prepared the pans. He kissed Alex's neck quickly. Alex had set up the food and all the cutlery and plates. As well as the cake in a box on the table, after all that Zack had done for Everly today, the least Alex could do was prepare the food.

"Oh my god baby. That smells phenomenal." Zack whispered into his neck.

"What the Princess wants she gets, so I made regular cheddar Mac n cheese, buffalo chicken Mac n cheese, and a white cheddar Mac n cheese since we have so many people." Alex said proudly.

"God you are such a good dad. And there is so many people because your mom invited every member of your family. Which has been terrifying... I've been scared. I'm gonna have to have a conversation with one of them before you introduce me. I'm excited to meet all of your family. But... I'm nervous to do it without you." Zack said truthfully as he helped Alex stir the pasta.
