The Story of Grace

Chapter 23

Alex's pov.

Grace had fallen asleep on that girl Cecilia's lap. I was currently sitting in a chair wondering why I was here.

Oh god. I can't fall for Grace. Its been one fucking day I've known her! This was bad. I mean I already promised her brother I'd watch over her but that doesn't mean I have to date her.

I should be at a party right now getting high or drunk. Why was I here with some girl I just met. I had to leave.

I walked over to that Lexi chick. "Hey I'm gonna head out...tell Grace I left?" I said quietly.

She looked confused "Yeah okay..." She said. I nodded. Then walked away.

Once I was out of the building I pulled out my phone and called Nick. My best friend.

I was gonna party to night.

Grace's pov.

I woke up in a hospital. What? Then I remembered Jace.

I got up fast but was stopped my someone pulling me back down onto the chair I was in. "Hey Grace its okay...calm down" it was Cecilia.

"Where's Alex?" She looked confused. "Oh tall guy tattoos right?" I nodded. "He left like 20 minutes ago..." I nodded. Why would he leave. I was sad he left.

Would I see him again? I don't know. I got up and walked into Jace's room. He was asleep. I sat there and talked to him even though he was asleep. I felt like I should be there with him.

The nurse came in a few minutes later and said I should leave, and get some rest that he'd be fine. I didn't want to leave him. But then Cecilia walked in the room and took me outside where Lexi waited with some Starbucks.

We drove to Cecilia and Lexi's place. When we got there the apartment was a mess. "Sorry um yeah we've been forgetting to clean.." Cecilia said blushing.

"It's all good." I said giving her a small smile. The apartment was very girly I would say. It was decorated with white and light pink furniture. It was nice though. They've added more stuff since the last time I was here.

"Uh you can take the guest room" Lexi said as she picked up a red high heel. "Yeah and since you are going to be staying here, we'll go get some stuff to decorate the room how you want" Cecilia said giving me a small smile.

They were treating me like I was gonna snap. They never really acted like this yet I couldn't blame them. I was upset and mad this happened. But I have hope Jace will be okay.

I nodded and smiled at them. Then I walked into the guest room and ploped on the bed.

I changed into my pj's and then got into bed. But sleep never came. I ended up getting one of my favorite books, re reading it to see if that would help.

Finally a while later my eyes felt droopy and I closed my eyes dreaming of beautiful blue one's.

Alex's pov.

I was currently at some random guys house completely wasted.

When I called Nick he said there would be a party down by his place. So I stopped by.

I ended up drinking with some friends. The we thought we'd go to a club since the party was boring. We ended up going to place I've never been.

I was now sitting at the bar alone while music was blaring through the speakers. Suddenly Nick came up to me with a girl barley clothed who I assumed was a 'dancer' here by his arm.

"Hey I got you something!" He yelled and nodded towards the girl who was clearly drunk at his side. He is sick.

I shook my head mouthing No to him. Apparently he didn't get it because he pushed the blonde onto my lap. I stood up causing her to stumble back. "I'm out!" I yelled at Nick. He was a prick at times.
