Once upon a time, long long ago... well, more like 20 years ago Belle married her Beast in front of 6,000 of their closest personal friends....
Big cake.
Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, Beast united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected king of the United States of Auradon.
He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks, basically all the really interesting people and he booted them off to the Isle of the Lost with a magical barrier to keep them there.
This is my hood.
No magic. No Wi-Fi. No way out.
Or so I thought.
Hang on! You're about to meet us, but first... this happened.

"Sir I must insist you stop moving your head." Ben had been stood on his pedastool for a while now, staring out at the Isle of the Lost, which seemed so far away and yet so close.

He only removed his gaze when the Tailor cupped his chin and pulled it forward to take measurements.

Beside him, stood his soon-to-be royal advisor, Gianna Lamp, or more commonly known by her friends and family as Gigi.

"Ben, stop annoying the Royal Tailor." Gigi sighed as she ticked off things on the blue clipboard she was holding.

"Gigi, I'm trying! But the Isle it's just so-"

"Captivating." Gigi repeated, mimicking the last few times he had told her this exact sentence. "I get it, just keep your head still."

As she finished her words, the doors swung open, revealing the King and Queen, dressed in their usual royal attire.

"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned king next month? You're just a baby!" The King protested, though the smile on his face showed that he was genuinely proud of his son.

"He's turning sixteen, dear." Belle sighed, shaking her head and smiling brightly at her son.

"Hey, pops." Ben smiled, seeing his parents always lightened his mood, atleast most of the time.

"Your majesty." Gigi nodded.

"Sixteen?! That's far too young to be crowned king, I didn't make a good decision until I was atleast... forty-two." The King nodded, seemingly proud of his statement. Atleast, until he heard his wife scoff.

"Uh- you decided to marry me at twenty-eight." Belle raised an eyebrow as she eyed her husband skeptically.

"It was either you or the teapot." He winked at Ben who chuckled slightly.

"Joking! I'm kidding!" The king laughed as his wife began to abuse his thigh with the jacket she was holding.

"Mom, Dad.." Ben started, ready to take a step off the platform, but Gigi shoved a hand out in front of his chest to stop him from moving off of the pedastool.

The Royal Tailor looked at Gigi with a grateful smile and then went back to measuring Ben's shoes and calves.

"I've chosen my first official proclamation." Ben said proudly, his parents sharing a look of both joy and surprise. "I've decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon."

Gigi dropped her clipboard at the same time Belle dropped the jacket she had previously been hitting her husband with. Both items made either a clattering or thumping sound when they hit the floor, adding drama to the moment.

"Everytime I look out to the island I feel like they've been abandoned." Ben stepped off his pedastool, annoying the Royal Tailor, but Gigi was much too shocked to even attempt to stop him.

"The children of our sworn enemies living among us?" The King said, his voice almost a mumble as he tried to understand his sons words. Never had he heard his son come out with such irrational ideas.

"Ben that's- I- want me to write this down?" Gigi asked, knowing it was her job to follow the whims of the Prince, but nowhere did it state she had to agree with them.

Ben nodded and continued, "We start out with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them."

"Have you?" The King countered, clearly unhappy with this idea. But before he could shut it down, Belle interjected with her thoughts on the matter.

"I gave you a second chance." The Queen said, turning to her son again when she was certain her husband had absorbed her words. "Who are their parents?"

"Cruella de Vil. Jafar- more specifically, his twins. Evil Queen..." Ben seemed to pause for dramatic effect as he spoke the last name, "Maleficent."

The Royal Tailor gasped and Gigi dropped her clipboard, yet again.

"Maleficent?! She is the worst Villain in the land! And Jafar? Good god and Crue- no!" The King yelled, his arm pointing towards the window as if to make a statement.

"Dad just hear me out-" Ben tried but the King had already made up his mind.

"I won't hear of it! They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!" The King shouted, a pinkish-red colour appearing on his face.

Gigi had to admit the Prince's choices were questionable to say the least.

"Yes! But their children are innocent! Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life?" Ben protested, but his voice soon dropped into a begging murmur, "Dad?"

The Queen turned to Ben's father, the Royal tailor and the butlers gone from the room, for fear of the King's reaction. Gigi turned as well, as both ladies waited for the King's reply.

A small sigh fled his lips as he said, "I suppose the children are innocent." He nodded slowly, as if almost in disbelief that he had just allowed this, just allowed for a flaw to occur in his perfect system.

The King turned and walked away as Belle stepped forward and congratulated her son, leaving after her husband once she had finished.

Ben turned to Gigi, who had picked up her clipboard and was staring at the king-to-be. Ben sighed and scanned her expression.

"Do you think I'm doing the right thing?" Ben asked her, and she didn't answer for a few minutes as she studied his expression. He looked hopeless, after all, he had only just managed to secure his proclamation and was now doubting himself.

She looked straight down at her clipboard, some of her pale blue strands of hair falling in front of her face, and began writing, "We can have the five of them brought over by Monday. Or is that too soon?"

A smile appeared on Ben's face as he hurried back up to the pedastool to continue his fitting.
