Chapter 26: Getting Ready For The Tournament

After taking Wolf home and signing up for the tournament, CatNap and DogDay were at home, looking at their decks.

“I don't think my Lunalight deck is gonna be able to handle a tournament for the first time.” CatNap said,

“I really gotta upgrade my Inca deck…” DogDay said, “Do we have any cards that work well with light and dark monsters?”

“Hmmm… I'm more of a Fusion person than a Synchro person, but some Chaos cards could work.”

DogDay gasped.

“Chaos!” He said, “That's it! We could make some Chaos decks for the tournament! But I'm gonna keep some of my Inca cards! I'm gonna try and see what cards I could use.”

“Well you have me.” CatNap said, “So obviously we can test our new Chaos decks out and see what we could use.”

“Yes! Oh, this is gonna be great! Me and my buddy CatNap playing with the powers of light and darkness!”

“Day and night.”

“And of course the sun and moon!”

“...You're playing with the sun and moon, as dragons.”

“Oh, right! Ha ha ha…”

Bubba meanwhile was at home as he saw a picture of himself and CraftyCorn. He looked at it and sighed deeply.

“Crafty…” He said, “I'm gonna win this tournament just for you… And then, I'm gonna fix everything in our friend group. All for you.”

Bobby meanwhile was laying on her bed, looking at her new cards.

“...If I win this tournament, maybe it might help me confess my feelings to PickyPiggy…” Bobby said, “And maybe help this friend group of our's… I can't lose another one…”

PickyPiggy was eating an apple in her backyard, looking at the sky.

“...Wonder why Bobby hasn't talked to me since then…” She said, “Is she ok?”

It was the next day. Only one more day until the tournament.

At least from what Hoppy will say as she was in the attic of her house, looking at the sky from the window while digging for some cards.

“One day until the tournament…” She said, “And KickinChicken stopped calling me all of a sudden… Damn it, I was trying to make things right with him! I saw that I made a big deal, but he's not!”

Hoppy sighed as she looked at a box of clothes that had her uncle's name.

“Huh…” She said, “My Uncle gave me his box of clothes he doesn't wear, yet I never really looked into them…”

Hoppy dug into the box as she found some sort of short jacket with a white buttoned shirt, sandy brown tie, dark yellow belt and gray jeans.

“Hmmm…” She said, “I might wear this for the tournament. It's my size, yes… I need some sort of redemption arc, if there is one…”

KickinChicken meanwhile was smoking weed one final time as he looked at his charm.

“...” He was silent and was confused,

KickinChicken then looks at his weed and tosses it on the ground and stomps on it.

“I've had enough of this.” He said, “No more being the cool guy I am. I'm gonna show everyone that I'm better than all of them. I'm gonna win the tournament tomorrow to prove it!”
