Chapter 25: KickinChicken's Gone Mad!
At the abandoned warehouse, KickinChicken and Wolf Wolfgang were dueling together. Wolf Wolfgang had two monsters on his side of the field, Link-4 Tri-Brigade Shuraig The Ominous Omen and Link-3 Tri-Brigade Rugal The Silver Sheller, both in ATK Position with 3000 and 2300 ATK Points.
“Please, KickinChicken, this is too much.” Wolf said to KickinChicken, “Just call off the duel…”
KickinChicken had the Level 8 Synchro Monster Blackwing - Silverwind The Ascendant and the Level 3 Tuner monster Blackwing - Gale The Whirlwind in Attack Position with 2800 ATK Points and 1400 ATK Points.
“Heh heh… You just summoned your monsters, so obviously, the fun has only just started!” KickinChicken replied, “So go ahead and attack me, if you have the guts!”
It was Turn 4 and Wolf's turn. He has 2000 Life Points while KickinChicken had 2900 Life Points.
“One face-down card…” Wolf said, “And two monsters with lower attack points than mine… I can do this… I can survive this turn and maybe the next turn. For now, it's time to attack.”
Wolf then pointed at KickinChicken.
“Alright, KickinChicken, as your former English teacher, prepare to be schooled!” He said, “Here's a lesson I will give you!”
“Ok? Go on.” KickinChicken said as he was listening,
“Sometimes the decisions you make will affect you as the person you are today. When I used to teach you and your friends in class, you always never give up on your work. That's what makes you a leader, but now you're a follower to a ghost after what choices you made today.”
“Heh, whatever you say, Sir. Now are you gonna attack or what?!”
“I'll gladly attack right now!”
The Battle Phase started.
“Go, Shuraig!” Wolf shouted, “Attack Blackwing - Silverwind The Ascendant!”
Shuraig The Ominous Omen fired his gun at Silverwind.
“Gotcha!” KickinChicken shouted, “I activate my Trap Card, Magic Cylinders!”
Magic Cylinders was activated. Wolf gasped.
“No way…” He said,
“Not only do I negate your Shuraig's attack, but you take damage equal to his Attack Points! So 3000 Points of damage will be blasted at you!”
The Magic Cylinders appeared as one absorbed the attack created by Shuraig The Ominous Omen and fired it back at Wolf, dealing 3000 points of damage to him. Wolf's Life Points are now at 0 as KickinChicken won the duel.
Wolf was on the ground, weakened.
“Damn it… What's gotten into you, KickinChicken?” Wolf wondered,
Without saying a word, KickinChicken smirked.
“Mr. Wolfgang!” HoldenHowler's voice shouted,
KickinChicken then turned to CatNap, DogDay, Hoppy HopScotch and HoldenHowler running up to Wolf.
“Kickin!” DogDay shouted, “What just happened?!”
“Did you dueled Mr. Wolfgang, and almost kill him?!” CatNap said,
“Ya damn right I did, asshat!” KickinChicken replied, “And I'd do the same to you, but that's not happening right now.”
“What's gotten into you, Kicken?!” Hoppy said, “I just said that this is getting out of hand!”
KickinChicken ignored Hoppy as he walked away. Before leaving the warehouse, he turned to CatNap, DogDay, Hoppy and HoldenHowler.
“I'll see you four at the tournament.” He said as he left,
“Well, what a boyfriend he recently became.” HoldenHowler said,
“Damn it, Kickin!” Hoppy said, “All I said is that this whole thing about pretending to be shitty to CatNap and the others has gotten out of hand!”
“Well I'm glad that you're admitting that bullying me is a bad idea.” CatNap said, “Still, I ain't forgetting about all of that.”
“I know, I'm sorry…”
“Uh-huh, sure.”
“Well… What are we gonna do now?” HoldenHowler wondered as he got Mr. Wolfgang up, “It's ok, Mr. Wolfgang.”
“Urgh… This is a pickle you four are in.” Wolf replied, “Unfortunately, I don't want to be part of this mess by joining the tournament. I'll sit this one out.”
“Please do.” CatNap said,
“Well… I guess gotta sign you three up for the tournament then, huh?” Hoppy said to CatNap, DogDay and HoldenHowler, “And then afterward we might as well either change or upgrade our decks to make sure they're good enough for this 8-critter tournament.”
“Come on, let's sign up.” DogDay said, “It's at least a start.
“Wait, we gotta take Mr. Wolfgang home first.” HoldenHowler said,
“Oh yeah, I forgot, sorry Mr. Wolfgang.”
“No worries.” Wolf said,
