Osiris firmly clutched Seth's arm, the action taken with such intensity that Seth began to tremble. In his state of shock, he gazed at Osiris with a lack of comprehension. "[Name]" observed the scene, noting that something seemed to be amiss between the two brothers.
Isis wrapped her arms around Osiris, and he mumbled softly as she did so. "Osiris..." she spoke, her words filled with affection. Everyone present was startled to see Osiris, as he had been presumed dead for decades.
"How... Why..." Seth stuttered, clearly dumbfounded. His face contorted into a mask of rage, and he attempted to strike Osiris.
Amid this confusion, an explosion erupted. Dust and smoke filled the room, and the sudden commotion caused everyone to cover themselves. All in the room besides [Name] coughed, unable to withstand the impact of the blast.
Meanwhile, [Name] had already created a force field to protect herself from the effects of the blast, and the smoke and debris did not affect her as a result of her quick thinking.
As the dust and smoke permeated the chamber, Ra came to stand before Isis and Osiris. She was the one responsible for protecting Isis and Osiris from Seth's attacks, creating a secure environment amid the chaos. "The trial is still underway, Seth," Ra said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "You have a duty to maintain your dignity as the supreme ruler of the gods until the matter is resolved." Seth stood amongst the shattered debris, a furious expression dominating his features as he stared at Ra.
Ra then turned her attention to Osiris. "It has been quite some time, Osiris," she stated, allowing a grin to play upon her lips. "I thought that you were deceased. But it brings me great pleasure to see that you are still among the living. Could you tell us about your whereabouts during all this time? There have been many developments since your departure." However, Osiris remained silent, and Isis held him tightly in her arms.
Osiris turned his gaze towards Isis, a somber expression on his face. He muttered the words, "I was in Duat. I had no other choice but to oversee matters from there." Isis whispered his name as she gazed at him, her voice infused with concern.
Osiris's eyes shifted to Seth, and he spoke, "It has been a considerable amount of time since we last laid eyes on one another, Seth." Seth's teeth ground together as he glowered intensely at Osiris, his red eyes glinting beneath his mask, seemingly filled with boundless vitriol.
"Indeed, it is quite astonishing that you were able to survive in the Duat," Ra spoke to Osiris, edging towards Seth. "You are undeniably the god of life, able to revive yourself as you please. I must inquire as to what secret you hold?"
Osiris proceeded to approach Seth; silence permeated the tense atmosphere as the two gods stood staring at one another. Osiris finally commented, "You are skeptical of my return, are you not?" Seth remained silent, his stare not straying from Osiris.
Osiris concluded his statement by adding, "In that case, I will happily testify in front of everyone here and assuage your doubts." He paused for a moment, glancing around to gauge everyone's response.
"Members of the Ennead and children of Ra," Osiris declared, addressing the collective. "I seek your permission to convey the events that have occurred. Will you accord me the opportunity to do so?"
The assembly began to converse amongst themselves, debating whether granting Osiris the time to speak was a sound decision.
A voice, seemingly belonging to [Name], sounded from the corner of the room. "Is this truly necessary?" Thoth leaned against a pillar and responded to the question with a shrug, "I cannot say. It is ultimately the judgment of Maat."
[Name] then playfully teased Thoth and said, "It seems you have an immense amount of faith in her. You must greatly adore her, yes?"
Thoth remained unfazed by the statement posed to him, but an obvious hint of redness appeared on his face, betraying his embarrassment. He glanced briefly in the direction of Maat, who approached him and addresssed him by his name, soon followed by Osiris, who also called out her own.
"There is no one whose importance supersedes yours within this trial," Maat stated as she stood in between Osiris and Seth, her expression one of esteem. "We have been eagerly awaiting your return, and there is no reason for us not to allow you the time to describe the occurrences at hand. In fact, we would very much like to testify ourselves. Welcome back, Osiris."
The assembly smiled in unison at Osiris, but Seth failed to match their enthusiasm. He appeared unpleased with their reaction to the situation. Yet, Horus appeared unbothered, and his face displayed neither emotion nor discontent.

Osiris ascended to the podium and took his place, the weight of the situation pressing down upon him. Maat stood by his side, the golden scale resting on the table before them, with a feather as the only token. Maat raised her head, gazing directly into Osiris' eyes, as she posed the solemn question to him: "Do you affirm, hereby declaring upon your honor, that the testimony you shall provide is free from all malice and deceit?"
"Upon my heart, I swear that the information I am about to impart is nothing but the truth." Osiris' response was clear and honest, as the beating of his heart was seen on the other side of the scale.
[Name] raised her gaze upon being witness to the sight of the heartbeat on the scale. "So, he is alive..." Her voice was a blend of surprise and elation, her eyes displaying her wonder.
In the interim, the fact that Horus was Osiris' offspring was established. The proceeding discussions were slowly progressing, causing [Name] to lose focus, leading to her dozing off momentarily. Thoth appeared unconcerned by this, allowing her to sleep without interruption.
Subsequently, Seth utilized his might to summon another explosion, the sound of which echoed through the vast chamber. Sand blanketed the atmosphere, and, as a consequence, Horus' whereabouts were uncertain. Despite the dust, [Name] regained her consciousness and stood, wiping the sand from her attire, to locate Seth. The taste of the sand on her tongue was repugnant, as she spoke aloud, "Disgusting..."
The atmosphere was now engulfed with a second explosive event. A thunderous sound of "KABOOM!" pierced the ears of the audience, and [Name] found herself enveloped with sand, resulting in a mound of the substance resting atop her hair. Her attention was directed immediately toward Seth, who had transformed into a gigantic form comprised of sand, standing behind the podium.
Seth's voice resounded through the chamber as he uttered the words, "The games must come to an end. I now proceed to pass judgment on all of you. Death shall be the penalty to all of you." He then clutched the podium with his enormous sandy hands.
[Name] gazes upon the colossal form of Seth, the sight causing an amalgamation of emotions to arise within her. A hint of admiration and fear are evident within her stare, as she observes the awe-inspiring size of Seth's being.
Moments after, the ground upon which [Name] stood began to fracture. She began to fall, in tandem with the collapsing terrain. However, her fall was quickly arrested as Hathor and Bastet rapidly clasped hold of her arms, successfully pulling her back into a secure position.
