His eyes were wide and full of fear as he saw my arm drawn back. His face changed from angry to a petrified look. He threw his hands up and dropped to his knees. "Please, please, don't hit me!" he shrieked, covering his face.

I froze in confusion, with my fist raised in mid air. I couldn't fathom what just happened. One minute, he was all mad, storming towards me, then, suddenly, out of nowhere, he was acting like a scared little girl. I swear, i think he's bipolar. As i lowered my arm, i cocked my heafd to the side. I raise my eye brows up as i heard footsteps running up behind me.

"Nessa, what did you do?" Rayn screeched, with her hands to her face as she came to a halt beside me.

"I didn't do anything, not yet, anyways." i looked at her, still in shock.

"You had to have done something. Look at him, he's on the ground." she pointed towards 'Husky'.

"Why do you care so much? Why does it matter if i did hit him?" i growled.

"Just because your mean and cruel, that doesnt mean everyone else has to be." she shot back.

"No, please, i dont want anh trouble. I'm sorry i gave the wrong impression. I was just so mad because i had a flat. I was actually coming over here to ask you if you could give us a ride home and, then, bring us back to school in the morning. I dont have the proper tools with me to fix a flat. Please, I'm sorry for the way i acted just then and earlier." 'Husky' answered, terrified.

My mouth dropped open. I swear it hit the ground. Who and what did this guy think I was? Some sort of bus that gives everyone rides around town for free? Do I really appear to be a nice person? I couldn't believe he just asked me that question. He doesn't even know me nor do I know him. For all I know, him and his friend could be murders.

I looked at him with a straight face. "No." I replied, dully, as I spun around on the ball of my heels and walked back to my car.

"What? Why not?" Rayn yelled stomping after me.

"Aw, come on, please." 'Husky' begged.

"I said 'no'," I whirled around and stalked back towards him, putting my finger in his face. "You must not have heard me correctly. In case you didn't, let me tell you again. I'm not giving you a ride home and, then, picking you up for school in the morning, along with 'Giggles' here," i pointed to his friend. "I don't even know y'all or know where y'all live. Plus, how do I know that you aren't going to try to kill us?"

'Husky's' face paled. "I promise, we aren't like that. We're good people."

"Thats what they all say." i grumbled.

"Please, Nessa!" Rayn begged.

"Your parents must not have taught you anything? Don't you know it's not safe to catch a ride with strangers?" i shouted.

He shifted his weight from one foot to the other as his head hung low. Needless to say, i was completely and utterly shocked at what happened next. He just started backing up slowly. Once again, i was confused. It took me by surprise when 'Giggles' stepped in front of me. God, this dude was tall. I didn't realize from earlier exactly how tall he was. He towered over me to the point where i had to strain my neck just to look him in the eyes.

"Don't do that." he peered down at me with the most serious look i have ever seen.

However, I didn't let that scare me. "Don't do what? It's not my fault that your's and his parents didn't have sense to teach you guys about stranger danger." i snapped.

"I said 'don't do that', please. You don't understand." he replied not moving a single muscle.

"Well, please, elaborate. Tell me, what don't I understand?" i yelled throwing my hands up.

He huffed loudly. I could see Rayn was standing next to me. He had her completel attention just as he had mine. I could hear 'Husky' pacing back and forth a few feet behind 'Giggles'. He went to speak, but stopped. He was hesitant at first, but then he took a deep breath and spoke. "Both of our parents were best friends. About a year ago, Blaze's parents decided to invite my parents out to a party. On their way home, a guy under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs was driving an 18 wheeler. He was driving way to fast. He ran the red light as our parents were crossing and T-boned them on the driver side of his parents vehicle, killing them instantly. The driver of the 18 wheeler walked away with out a scratch."

My hand shot to my mouth as Rayn and i gasped. "Oh, God. I'm so sorry. I didn't know."

"How could you have known?" he asked wiping a tear away that had fallen down on his cheek.

"I feel really bad, now. Gees, I'm so so sorry. Please, let me give y'all a ride home. It's the least i can do. Maybe, during the ride, we can talk and get to know each other." i motioned for them to follow me to my car.

"Thank you." they replied as we approached my car.

"It may be a little uncomfortable. The back seat is a tight space." i replied, opening my door and lifted the front of the seat up for 'Giggles' to slide in.

"It's fine. At least we dont have to walk home." Blaze got in on Rayn's side.

I know the story seems boring so far but i promise it will get interesting within the next few upcoming chapters. Enjoy...
