6 months later.....
"Happy birthday!" Blaze shouted, coming up to me and giving me a big bear hug.
I groaned. "Can't...... Breath."
"Oh, crap. Sorry." he relied letting go of me.
I doubled over, catching my breathe. I shook my head and stood up straight again. I drew back and smacked him on the arm. "Ssshhh! Don't tell everybody! Please, i don't want anyone to know."
"Aw. Why not, Nessie." he chuckled.
This time i punched him in the stomach. "Don't call me Nessie!" i screeched.
"Ooopphhh," he grabbed his stomach. "Sorry."
"Hey, bro. You okay?" Will asked, coming up beside us in the cafeteria.
"Hey, where's Rayn?" Blaze asked, stilling holding his stomach.
"Oh, she'll be here in a few seconds." Will replied.
"So, how's it feel to be graduating?" i asked.
"It feels pretty good, even though, I do hate to leave you guys next year all by yourselves."
"Hey, don't worryed about me. I'll be graduating next school year and you better be there."
"Don't worry. I wont miss it." he smiled.
Over the last past few months, we have became bestfriends. It took a while to get to know them, since i like being by myself most of the time. We hung out alot. They would come to our house and we would go to theirs. Yes, i know. I swore that i would never go back to their house again. The more i visited, the more the feelings began to fade away. I didn't feel any of those feelings anymore. However, their road still creeped me out a little, especially during a stormy night. Talk about freaked out.
The more we hung out, the closer Rayn and Blaze fot and the closer Will and i got. Thats when i fount out that Rayn had a crush on Blaze from the beginning. Believe me, when they first asked me for my permission to date, i blew a gasket.
I also know what you guys are thinking. Why does she have to have permission to date a guy or anything else for that matter? Well, let me explain. Since our parents are there for us like they're supposed to, she is my responsibility. I know she is old enough to take care of herself, but i wouldnt be a very good big sister now would i if i didnt care. I look after her as her guardian, even though I'm 17. I am very protective over my little sister.
After a lot of begging from them and a little convincing from Will, i decided that it was okay, but i warned Blaze that if he ever did anything to hurt ber, i woukd kick him in the balls and beta the living crap out of him with a baseball bat. Are i just a lovely person?
When i spoke those words, he was struck with fear. Big beads of sweat had formed across his forehead. At first, i thought he was going tobreak out in a run and head for the hills, but shockingly, he stood his ground and swore to never hurt her.
As far as Will and I, well, we haven't started dating yet. He's asked me out several times, but i kept turning him down. I mean, he flirts alot with me, but i don't really want to date him out of fear of something going wrong and screwing up our friendship. I really like him and i can tell that he likes me as well.
Maybe i could give him a chance.. Hhmmmm maybe i will. Maybe after graduation tonight, i would surprise him by agreeing to date him.
Its worth a shot, right?
After graduation.....
Blaze, Rayn, and I pushed through the crowd of graduates and their family and friends, in search of Will. After pushing and shoving, which seemed like forever, we finally spotted him. He was standing in a circle, with a group of guys that he hung out with when he couldnt hang out with us. The closer we got to him, the group turned their attention to us, making it impossible to sneak up on him. They shook their heads and walked away as Will spun around.
"Congrats!" i shouted giving him a hug.
"Thanks." he replied returning the hug.
"Aw, God," Blaze sniffled as he wiped a tear from his eye. "My brother from another mother is leaving me here with these two crazy chicks next year."
"Blaze, are you crying?" i cracked.
"No! I got something in my eye!" he shouted rubbing it.
"Yeah, sure. Don't worry. We'll try not to make it to hard on you." i slapped him on the arm.
"Oh my God. I can't believe your graduating. Congrats." Rayn shouted giving Will a quick hug.
"Thanks. Now, if you guys could come by the house, that would be perfect." Will said, taking off his cap and gown.
"What? No, no. I don't do parties. Sorry." i replied holding my hands up and backing away.
"Why not?" Blaze asked.
"I don't do to good with crowds." i answered looking at the ground.
"I never knew that." Will replied shocked.
"Makes her nervous." Rayn chipped in.
"That's why I never entered in talent shows or anything that would focus all the attention on myself."
"Dang, well, that sucks for you." Blaze said, winking and holding his hand up to Will for a high five.
Will looked at hom and shook his head. "No, i don't know where that thing has been," he laughed. "But, no, its not a party. If it was i wouldn't even call it a party. It'll just be the four of us. Thats all."
"Aw come on bro. Dont leave me hanging like this. I washed my hands before i went to the bathroom." Blaze shouted, as his eyes bugged out and still had his hand held up shaking it in Will's face.
"Um... No." Will said, turning away from him.
"Forget you then. You guys are nothing but some haters." Blaze crossed his arms over his chest.
"You can't forget us." Rayn whined.
"Oh, look, enough bickering. If we're going to go to your house, lets go. I've had enough of this place for the year." i said walking away from them..
"Whatever you say, Birthday Girl!" Blaze answered making sure he shouted 'birthday girl' out loud enough for everyone to hear.
Oh my God. I'm so going to beat the mess out of him.
