By the time they arrived home, Daniel and Willow had fallen asleep.

Ebony came to greet his kittens when the human placed the carrier on the floor, but paused in the doorway. Oak assumed he didn't want to get set on fire.

He nudged Daniel, "We're home, wake up."

Hearing Oak, Willow woke up and stepped out of the carrier. She slowly explored around the room until she remembered her way around and ran over to Ebony.

"Daddy! I missed you so much!" she purred, "Guess what? I have powers!" she flicked her tail and a pile of snow appeared next to her. "I can make snow!"

Ebony purred, "Welcome back, both of you. And congratulations on discovering your powers, Willow. But could you please get rid of that snow before it ruins the wood?"

Willow removed the snow pile as Daniel stepped out of the carrier.

Ebony sniffed the air, "Who's that?" he asked warily.

"This is Daniel!" Oak explained, "He's my new friend from the kitten camp. He doesn't have any friends at his house so our humans took him with us instead."

Hesitantly, Ebony stepped over to greet Daniel.

"Nice to meet you," Daniel said, seemingly struggling to find the right words. "Sorry, I don't have much experience with talking to others."

"Well, I'm sure Oak can help you with that." Ebony said as he turned to head back into the kitchen, where his bed was.

"C'mon I'll show you around!" Oak purred excitedly. He ran up to the window and leapt onto it. "This is where I sit to look outside. Don't touch the glass though, it gets really cold." he touched his paw to the window and a thin layer of frost melted on the other side of the glass.

"I'm going outside," Willow called from over by the cat door.

"I'll come out with you after my tour." Oak called back.

He leapt down from the window and raced into the kitchen. "This is where the humans make food. Not much is in here for us, but our beds and food bowls are here."

"Where will I sleep?" Daniel asked.

"Willow and I share a bed, you can sleep with us." Oak raced off and led Daniel to a closed door. "This is where the humans go to sleep. The kitten-human stays there most of the time."

"Is there a specific name for human kittens just like dogs being called puppies?" Oak called to his dad, who was laying in his bed.

"Yes, they're called babies." Ebony answered.

"Well, that's it for our tour." Oak said quickly. "Let's go outside with Willow!"

Sunlight stepped outside of the house, followed by Shadow.

The human quickly stopped them, picking up Shadow and putting her in the cat-carrier. "Not another vet visit!" Shadow complained, "They already put something on my paw to help it heal last week. What do they want now?"

The humans closed the door, locking Sunlight outside. "Thanks, humans." Sunlight growled sarcastically, "Now I'll definitely die if a dog happens to attack me while you're gone."

She ran off to find Oak and Willow.

The cold air hit Oak all at once, he sat parylized for a moment, watching Daniel rush past him and dive into the snow.

Willow was throwing snow into the air and catching it on its way down, leaping gracefully around. Oak stared in shock, she wasn't usually this graceful, she was usually cautious, slow, and clumsy.
