Dazai's POV

New day new page. That's what the teachers would tell me in literature class. 'No sleeping', 'pick your head up' 'focus' blah blah blah. I turn a few pages back, my handwriting was kept consistent over time.

I was sipping on some green tea made from fresh Camellia sinensis leaves. Those plants were harvested by hand then steamed and dried.

As I was rereading the next few lines of my book, my hand knocked over the cup of tea spilling it all over the page. It left a stain, one that could never be removed unless the paper was destroyed.

The paper and tea mixed into a shade of sandy brown. You could also call it brownish beige, both mean the same thing worded different ways. The green and yellow don't mix well.

.

"Let's have a tea party!" It was the Fourth of July and I was brewing cups of tea. "Don't you think that's a bit childish?" Chuuya was with me instead of the Port Mafia. They went out to a fancy dinner of some sort.

"Childish? You technically are a child so it doesn't matter" I replied. "Who are you calling a child? I'm older than you!" he argued.

"Only by a few months. You don't really act like it though. You're an absolute idiot that has no brain cells in that hollow mind of yours" I signed.

"You don't really look like it either. You ought to drink some more milk, then maybe you'll actually grow a few inches" I ignored his rant about something along the lines of 'I still have a few years'.

"Tada!" I showed him the two cups of green tea I had prepared in less than a few minutes. I brought him to a treehouse not too far from our apartment.

It was in the park that we often go to. "Seriously, you're going to drop the cups if you don't slow down!" we were racing to see who would get to the treehouse first.

"And I win!" I reached the ladder as smiled in pride as I watched a defeated Chuuya walk his way over. "That wasn't even fair, you started like ten seconds earlier than me" he complained.

"Well life isn't fair, sucks to suck" I smiled. We climbed up the wooden ladder that would probably break any second. The floorboards of the treehouse squeaked with each step we took.

I also brought some necessary supplies. A blanket to cover the floor, some snacks to keep me company, and the cups of tea of course.

A few minutes later, we were drinking tea and gossiping about the most absurd things. "Did you know that Mori has a fetish for little girls?" Chuuya whispered.

"I thought he only had that for Elise" I looked at him surprised. "Don't know, heard that he makes them try on dresses" he replied.

"Remember that one waitress we saw at the steakhouse? Turns out she actually runs a secret club in the back" I showed him a picture of the back entrance. "Really? The one down the street? So that's how they had those luxury wine bottles" he mused.

I didn't even realize how fast time was going until the moon started to show and the wind started getting cold. The fireworks should be starting now.

"Chuuya! Look over there!" I pointed to the plain field on the other side of the park. The treehouse was giving us perfect view of the rainbow fireworks.

We sat on the edge of the treehouse amazed by the fireworks. There were all sorts of colors and all sorts of designs. Some fireworks showed images of sparks, hearts, and even different shapes.

Just as things were going good, the ladder fell flat on the ground leaving us in the treehouse which was around fifteen meters up in the sky.

"How am I going to get down?" I looked over to Chuuya expecting an answer. "You're acting as if I can't just fly down there and fix the ladder" he looked mortally offended.

"I was thinking of you catching me as I jump down from the treehouse, that would be more fun dont you think?" I questioned. "And what if I miss?" he asked.

"Then I'll probably die. Not a bad way to go honestly" I replied. "Don't be an idiot, just stay here and watch the fireworks. Getting down is later's problem. The fireworks are pretty aren't they?" he asked.

Not as pretty as you.

7 years into the future

"Slow down! We're going to crash you idiot" he scolded from the passenger seat. "It's your fault, you made me drive" I rolled my eyes.

"Just step on the break asshole" he replied. "We're in the middle of a highway, I can't just randomly stop" I defended. "You're going past the speed limit, you're lucky there's no cops" he signed in defeat.

"In 200 feet, turn left" the map interrupted the suicide music I was playing. "Your music taste sucks, you listen to the same song on repeat. Don't you get bored of it?" he asked.

"If I like it I don't get bored of it" just like you, I would never get bored of you. "Your destination is on the right" the speaker read. 'Yokohama Grand Hotel' was the one we were staying at.

"Hello, I booked a hotel room a day ago on call" he told the receptionist. "One day ago? Was it a one bed room?" she asked. "I think I booked a two bed room" he replied. "Is your name Chuuya Nakahara?" she double-checked. "Yes it is" he responded.

"Hmm.. on here it says you booked a one bed room. Unfortunately, there's no other rooms available. Would you like to take this one instead?" she looked up from her computer.

He thought for a second before replying. "That would be fine" he smiled the best he could. "Sorry for the inconvenience sir" she apologized as she handed us the room keys.

Our room was 22ssk. It sounded a little bit familiar. "Chuuyaaa, help me carry the suitcases" he was walking with one small suitcase while I was carrying the larger one.

"This is what you get for making me pack" he retorted. I collapsed onto the bed the second I entered. I was tired, after hours of driving you don't stay awake well.

He immediately started unloading the stuff from the suitcases. We were literally only staying here for a few nights. We would have to pack everything again tomorrow.

"Hey asshole, I'm getting the bed" he pushed me off just as I was about to fall asleep. My head hit the floor while he was pulling a blanket over himself.

I pulled his blanket away onto the floor as he sat up angrily. "If I don't get to sleep you don't get to sleep either" I smiled. " he threw a pillow at me as I stood back up and grabbed the pillow.

I hit him in the head with the pillow as he picked up another one. We started having a pillow fight on the bed. He smacked me with the pillow again this time very hard.

I kicked his leg and made him lose balance. He fell on top of me, with my head against the bed board. We stayed like that for just a moment before he pulled away. I could see his face slightly turn red before he got off of me.

"You're sleeping on the floor" he threw a pillow on the floor and pointed to the blanket already there. "Fine, you owe me" I got off the bed and laid down on the floor instead.
