Chuuya's POV

Dazai has taught Akutagawa the main protocols of the Port Mafia already. In a good way, I'm not so sure. When they said that they recruited a new member for the Port Mafia, I thought it was going to be someone my age or older.

I was sort of surprised when I found out that Akutagawa is only fourteen years old. Yet again, the boss is literally Mori. Recruiting kids seems like something he would do.

Today, the mission was to find a drug house. Some idiots had smuggled some of our drugs from the underground medical room where Mori keeps all his stuff.

They took a lot of cocaine and heroin but also smuggled some smaller goods. Are they really dumb enough to steal from one of the biggest organizations in all of Yokohama?

"Chuuya-san, what are we doing here?" Akutagawa questioned. "Did boss not tell you about the mission?" I asked. "No? We're here for a mission?" Akutagawa looked so confused, it was honestly funny.

"Basically, the mission is to retrieve stolen drugs of the Port Mafia. Here are the people that we're going after" I showed him a file of two men.

One of them was 5'7, cool blonde hair, and green-eyed. The other one was 5'8, dark blue hair, and hazel-eyed. They were both in their middle forties. I don't see the point of stealing drugs at that age.

"In the file, it said that these two were regular people without any abilities. So, I think you can take them on Akutagawa" I pointed to the information below their pictures.

"This is their 'base', according to boss" I pointed to the wooden shed in the middle of the forest. Around, everything was damaged with dust everywhere. It's probably a drug house, having a dealer this stupid makes me feel bad for the buyers.

The shed was blocked with a giant metal door. "Looks like I still have to do something" I signed as I used my ability and kicked open the door.

I still am strong even without my ability, my ability just adds to that making me more powerful. There were two men that matched the description of the subjects sitting down at a circle table looking shocked to see us.

"H-how.. that door is almost two tons" he looked shocked. "Only two tons? That's rather pathetic" I chuckled. Akutagawa used his Rashōmon to pick up both men by their necks while they were struggling to get free.

"Careful Akutagawa, be too rough with them and they might die. Make sure not to suffocate them, boss told us to take them in for questioning" I instructed.

In reality, Mori probably wanted to torture them but I couldn't care less. Akutagawa pressed a pressure point on their throats and they both passed out.

Akutagawa tied them up with some random rope we found on the ground and stuffed some paper into their mouths. Then, we started searching for the drugs.

After only a few minutes, we found a big cardboard box with all sorts of plastic containers inside. That's when the two men woke up again. They were screaming something along the lines of 'we didn't know' or 'we will never do it again'.

"You guys like drugs huh? Why not try some right now?" I picked up a syringe from the ground and injected some sleeping pills into them. Finally, the muffled yells were put to a stop.

My ears could have actually started bleeding if I had to endure them any longer. After moving the two men into the back of the truck we brought here, I pulled out a box of cigarettes. "I thought you didn't smoke" Akutagawa seemed surprised.

"I don't, I've just been feeling a little stressed out lately" I responded. "What are you stressed about? Is it the mission?" Akutagawa asked. "No, it's not the mission." I replied.

The lighter I was using was plain and simple, just like any other lighter. However, the lighter consisted of two colors.

Brown and orange.

7 years into the future

Does he have something against Kitsunes? I've defeated multiple in the past, I don't understand why he looked so shocked when Akutagawa mentioned 'nine-tailed fox'.

"How are we going to wake him up? Dazai?" I was waving my hands in front of him trying to get his attention.

"Hm? Just use your gravity ability and like shake him up or something" he suggested. I did as told.

Ba dump.

Ba dump.

His body was hitting the ceiling then the ground, over and over again.

Ba dump.

Ba dump.

"Is he going to wake up? What's wrong with him?" I asked annoyed.

Ba dump.

Ba dump.

"Not everyone is a light sleeper like you Chuuya" Dazai replied.

Ba dump.

"What's happening? Why am I in the air!" the were-tiger screamed as I dropped him down on the floor. "Finally, you weren't waking up so we decided this was the quickest method" I replied.

Akutagawa was looking out the window. "Dazai, did you even see the swarm out there yet?" I asked. "Not until now, quite a sight, don't you think?" Dazai glanced outside before quickly turning back.

"What are we going to do about it? There's no way that just the four of us can take on that huge swarm over there. There's at least one thousand monsters out there, and their powers are way stronger!" the were-tiger exclaimed.

"Are you seriously underestimating us?" Akutagawa questioned. "Oh no, you're right Atsushi. What will we ever do?" Dazai asked sarcastically.

"Atsushi-kun, do you ever wonder what happened on the night that I was supposed to retrieve the doll kid from the Guild?" Dazai asked.

"I know that there was a huge explosion, right?" Atsushi questioned. "Something like that. Anyways, do you know what the explosion was caused by?" he asked.

Don't tell me he's thinking about using tainted. "No? I never thought about that actually, what was it caused by Dazai-san?" the were-tiger sounded curious. "It's easier to show you than tell you" Dazai turned around to look at me.
