Toru's POV
As I stared at the crimson red eyes of my tormentor staring directly at my black eyes that holds the fear he wants me to have
Linn: leave him alone Baizu! Just what is your problem!!
I feel touched the she's willing to defend me but I don't want her to get caught up in my mess
Plus having a girl defend me really makes me feel pathetic
Baizu: now why would I do that babe?
I was feeling a little pissed at what this guy was saying about my best friend but what the hell can I do about? Absolutely nothing! he will beat me to a pulp
Toru: Linn just go...
Linn:First of all ew don't ever call me "babe" and second of all Toru! Don't you dare tell me to go! I'm not leaving you!
Toru: I don't want you to get hurt!
Baizu's POV
I was getting really pissssed they completely forgot about my presence to have a stupid nerd argument
I just want to beat up that nerd already
I want to see him suffer
As soon as the nerd's friend gives in and leaves the gym area now I can let loose...
Baizu: now that she's out of my way... now where we're we
Toru's POV
He's now grinning like a maniac
now I really feel scared
Baizu: it's time for a beating loser
Toru: p-please
Baizu: awww come on where's the tuff guy that was trynna protect his girl huh
I see the look in his eyes as he throws his tie and removes his school jacket and I could tell that he was enjoying every second of this
So seeing the inevitable
I just give in to the beating
Toru: let's j-just get t-this o-over with..
Then without warning he kicks me in the guts earning a groan of pain from me I fall to the floor holding my stomach breathing heavy breaths
Baizu: oh come on! Get up loser!
I know you can take more than that!
He then proceeds to kick and punch my already beaten up figure as blood is dripping from various parts of my body
One hour later...
I just lay there on the gym floor with a black eye a bloody nose and mouth bruises here and there and maybe a slight fracture in my wrist
Baizu hand already left around 20 minutes ago but I don't have the strength to stand on my two feet
Toru(weakly in a whisper): why me...
But I manage to use the remaining strength my body can offer to go to the nurses office.
No one's POV
But one thing Toru does not know
is that something much worse is waiting for him where he least expects it
One hour later...
Toru's POV
I was walking home and as soon as I reached the front yard I was relieved that I would get to see the only other person that gives a crap about apart from my mother
As soon as I knock the door is swung open by my older sister Sakura who is a spitting image of my mother who engulfs me in a bear hug
Sakura: Oh my god! Where the hell were you?! Look at all these bruises and WHY THE HELL ARE YOU WEARING AN EYEPATCH WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYE!!!!
I really love my sister but she a bit over protective of me...
Toru: don't worry about me sis I'm coming back from the school nurse cause I fell down a flight of stairs.
I really hate lying to my sister but I can't let her know the truth or else she'll just worry about me
She looks at my eyes as if not believing me but after a few seconds she just gives in
Sakura: if you say so
Toru: anyways I'm hungry what's for dinner
Sakura: oh yeah! Dinners ready and we're having my famous chilly Ramen!
Toru: HELL YEAH!!!
AFTER DINNER...
Toru: I love that Ramen almost as much as I love you sis
Sakura: is that a complement or an insult?
Sakura is slowy laughing an eerie laugh so I decide to clarify before she kills me and brings me back from the dead just to kill me again
Toru: d-definitely a c-c-compliment s-sis!
Sakura: good I appreciate it
Now let's pack up and wait for him and to come back from the bar and mom should be back by now...
And by "him" she means our dead beat father who drinks all day and doesn't give a damn about us
Toru: ok sis
A few minutes later we hear loud uncoordinated knocking on the door but before we could answer
The door just slams open only to reveal our drunk dad who was around 6'3 had messy grey hair
A long brown trench coat with a white T shirt and torn black trousers while holding a bottle of alcohol probably a whiskey with a ... weird red stain at the edges of his left trench coat waist pocket
Dad: I'm home brats
Toru:(and of course he's drunk...again) so where's mom?
Dad:dead...she's dead
Sakura: that's not funny Dad where is she
Dad: see for yourself
Then to my horror our father brought out his hand from that same weird red stain pocket
to reveal his hand drenched in
a red liquid that I believe the smell to be...blood
Dad:she was being disobedient so I taught her a lesson!
That's when I realized that today is the day where I lose everything
Toru(angered/shocked): you-YOU BASTARD!! FIRST DRINKING THEN ABUSING YOUR CHILDREN NOW KILLING OUR MOTHER CAN I EVEN CALL YOU OUR FATHER DAMMIT!!!
Dad:don't raise your voice at me brat or should I teach you a lesson TOO!!
Toru(angered/shocked): FUCK YOU!! I'M GETTING OUT OF HERE
LETS GO SAKURA!!
sakura(shocked/scared): I-I ok l-lets go
Then I drag my sisters arm and we start running across the street in the rain we then hear from a distance back at our former home
Dad: I dont need you brats!
