In a month, the issue finally subsided, following the rumor about the break up of Kang Seulgi and Bae Joohyun that spread like wildfire throughout social media. However, Seulgi decided not to confirm the rumor for their privacy, especially Joohyun's privacy which she wanted to protect. She is still doing her best to protect the woman that she will never stop loving. Also, she took another month of hiatus to have more time for herself and to heal herself from the pain that she never knew she would experience.

Joohyun was still a production assistant but was transferred to a new team as requested by herself. The company respected her decision regarding this matter. Jung Yunho, the CEO, spoke to both of them separately, apologizing for their carelessness during the issue but Joohyun insisted that it was her fault that she let Seulgi go. She confessed that Seulgi never gave up throughout the situation but she can't handle the pain that her lover feels every time she witnesses her breaking down.

Seulgi was currently staying in her hometown in Ansan with her parents and older brother after the breakup. She was always being haunted by the memories she had with Joohyun and even though she is not by her side anymore, Seulgi still feels the presence of her bunny in every corner of the penthouse. Breaking down became her routine before she slept at night. This led her to live in Ansan during her hiatus to help herself from moving on and reflecting on her past actions.

"My daughter, warm yourself." Mr. Kang said, offering hot chocolate for her daughter who was sitting on the balcony of their house.

Seulgi smiled at her father and accepted the drink, "Oh, Thank you, Appa." Mr. Kang is seated beside her daughter who is busy staring at the beautiful scenery in front of them. The sky had several shades of hue because of the sunset that started to show, making her remember someone special to her. He noticed the indicative emotions of her daughter through her eyes which were full of sadness and guilt.

"Are you feeling well, Seulgi?"

"I don't know, Appa." Seulgi heavily sighed, looking down at the cup she was holding with her hands.

"You can always share your feelings with Appa. I'm always here to listen to you." Her father placed his hands on her shoulder to send a comforting gesture.

"Do I deserve to be hurt like this?" Seulgi glanced at her father and looked back at the sunset.

Mr. Kang sips her coffee before facing her daughter, "Seulgi, no one deserves to be hurt. However, loving someone doesn't mean that you are always at the peak of happiness. Whether we like it or not, we will always experience being hurt by someone we love. Every relationship comes with circumstances but the two of them should help each other to have the solution."

"But why did she leave me?" Seulgi gulped, preventing her tears from falling.

"She left you because she loves you. She also didn't want it to happen but she doesn't want to see you hurting anymore. This will also help both of you to individually mature to be a better person. If fate lets you meet again and the love is still there, it is the right time and right moment for the both of you."

"I miss her, Appa. I really miss Joohyun so much." The tears finally fell from her monolid eyes as she was being comforted by her father who immediately put her in a warm embrace.

"Everything will be fine, my daughter." Mr. Kang caressed her daughter's shoulder who was sobbing in his embrace to calm her down.

Joohyun was hanging out with Sooyoung and Yerim in a cafe. She was moving forward in her life but missing someone can't be avoided even though she diverted her attention to her work. Similar to Seulgi, crying became her usual routine every night that made her fall asleep. Flashbacks of memories welcome her every time she opens the door of her condo. The laughs that filled the home they used to consider. She badly misses the comforting cuddles, kisses that never fail to make her stress and exhaustion disappear, and especially the person she loves the most. Not a day went by that she didn't long for Seulgi and didn't regret her decision but it was for the best. Starting that night, she dedicated her whole time to the company and entertaining herself outside in her free time to somehow forget the undeniable pain.
