We finally landed in Italy. Yesterday was the race in Miami, and Lando did amazing again. he secured P1, and Charles got P2. So, I'll say I had a great week despite, obviously, the club incident. But I've moved on from it, kinda... Every now and then, I think about it, and it makes my heart beat faster.
The only problem is, I haven't told Alex yet. I've been determined to tell her before the trip to Italy, but I just couldn't. Every time I went to talk to her, she was with Charles, and since he's my brother, I know he's going to be nosy.
"Alright, off to the villa we go!" Charles chirps cheerfully as we pile into the sleek black SUV. I settle into the seat next to Rebecca and Alex, while the boys take their places opposite us.
I watched as we drove out of the airport and through the streets of Italy. I've always loved it here, it's definitely a beautiful place with some of the best food. So, I'm glad I'll be able to have ten full days of just relaxing and having fun with some of the people I care most about.
As we arrive at the villa, memories flood back to me. It's been years since I last visited here. Originally, it was our parents' villa, but they handed it down to Lorenzo. However, he didn't want it because he had other things to focus on, so Charles ended up inheriting it instead.
So I've basically grown up here.
"Bienvenue à la maison, petite sœur." Charles whispers to me, his voice filled with warmth, and I smile up at him softly.
I turn around and watch with amusement as Lando and Carlos struggle to get the suitcases out. Rebecca, Alex, and I share a knowing smile before bursting into laughter, while Charles joins in.
Once we retrieved the bags, we wheeled them inside, and I couldn't help but notice that the villa looked exactly as it did the last time we visited. It still had the same familiar smell, lingering with the faint scent of mother's perfume.
The only sad thing was the flowers that lay on the table in the front entrance, which were now wilted and dead.
I picked them up out of the vase and looked at them with a frown. I guess we'll have to go to the flower shop and get new flowers.
I go into the kitchen, toss the wilted flowers into the bin, and take a moment to look around. The layout of the house is open, with the dining room, living room, and kitchen all in one spacious room. The view from here is simply breathtaking.
It's a villa nestled in the hills, with beautiful views overlooking all of Florence.
I stand in the kitchen looking out the window until all of a sudden a see Lando come next to in the corner of my eye.
I turn to look at him and smile. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" I say softly. He turns his head, and our eyes lock. "It is," he smiles, and I return my gaze to the view, leaning my head on his shoulder.
Until. Our moment is interrupted by Carlos's yelling from upstairs.
"I'm getting the biggest room! Me and Rebecca need it because you know! We need it! Vamos, cariño!" Carlos's voice echoes from upstairs, and Lando and I share a chuckle.
"We better get our room," Lando says softly as he gazes down at me. I smile back up at him, nodding in agreement.
We walk out of the kitchen and head upstairs. Once we upstairs, it turns out that Carlos didn't get the biggest room after all, he got stuck with another room.
Me and Lando giggle as we see him sitting on the edge of his bed with a frown, looking like a big baby.
"Don't worry, Carlos, it's not so bad!" Lando calls out with a grin as we continue down the hallway to our room, ready to make the most of our shared space. Yep, we were once again sharing a room.
We enter the room and find the bed placed in the middle, with two huge windows behind it offering the best view in the whole house. I had made sure to claim this room before we even came to Italy, I wanted it just for this view.
"This is beautiful, Stel," Lando says softly as his hand comes down to my back, causing my heart to beat faster.
It's just the little things that make me feel this way.
"It is. I dibs the right side though," I giggle as I make my way over and place my things on the side table, my notebook, my pen, and my laptop.
"Guys, let's go and explore! We're heading down to this pizza shop Charles recommended for dinner," Alex announces with a smile, knocking on the door.
I nod in agreement, and she heads back to her room. Once she's out of sight, I turn to Lando with a mischievous smirk. "I'll get ready," I announce playfully before slipping into the walk-in closet and closing the door behind me.
I sift through my suitcase and retrieve an orange summer dress along with some white heels, not too fancy, but still beautiful.
I quickly shed the clothes I've been traveling in and slip into the summer dress, sliding on the white heels afterward. With a quick glance in the mirror, I decide on styling my hair into a half-up, half-down look. Heading into the bathroom through the connected door from the closet, I take a few moments to perfect my hair, before I walk out.
As I walk out, I see Lando buttoning up his white button-up shirt. Glancing over his outfit, I notice he's wearing orange shorts, I will have to say he looks good, and it's kinda cute that we're unintentionally twinning.
Lando looks me up and down, a hint of redness coloring his cheeks as he smiles. "You look good, Angel," he grins, spraying some cologne on himself.
I walk forward and place my hands on his chest, smoothing out some wrinkles on his shirt. "You don't look too bad yourself, Lan," I smirk, taking his hand and leading him downstairs to where the others are waiting for us.
