Landos pov
It was the race tomorrow, and today went well. I qualified P1 with Max behind me, so I'll have to fight hard.
But the only problem was Stella. She hardly talked to me today. She was in Ferrari's hospitality the whole time, and she wouldn't even answer my texts. It felt like there was a growing distance between us, and I couldn't shake the feeling of unease.
As for Coco, I literally told her everything—all the feelings I have right now. I even told her I was falling in love with Stella. It felt good to confide in someone, but now I wonder if it was the right decision, I'm sure I can trust Coco.
Now I'm standing with my team for the annual Silverstone party with the McLaren crew, I couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment. It was a tradition we upheld every year before the race, and tonight would've marked my first time attending with a date. But Stella was nowhere to be found.
Well so I thought. As I stood in the middle of the room, I caught sight of Stella entering, clad in a long silk orange dress that accentuated her curves flawlessly. Her beauty was undeniable. However, what struck me was that she wasn't alone. Beside her stood a tall man with black hair, green eyes, and a small scar across his cheek.
What the fuck.
Stella approached me, her hand firmly grasping the man's arm, and my confusion only grew. Was he her date? What was happening?
"Lando!" she greeted, then glanced up at the man beside her. I struggled to comprehend the situation.
"Hi Stella," I responded quietly, my gaze shifting between her and the man. "This is Aaron, my friend," she explained, and I couldn't help but widen my eyes in surprise.
When Stella had mentioned making a new friend named Aaron, for some reason, I had assumed it was perhaps a girl, not a man.
"Hello Aaron," I greeted, offering my hand with a nod. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lando," he responded with a firm handshake before turning his attention back to Stella.
"I'm going to use the restroom," Stella announced, flashing a smile at both of us before gracefully exiting the room.
After Stella leaves, I turn to Aaron, sensing something off about him. "So, are you interested in her?" I ask, trying to gauge his intentions. He shrugs casually. "Yeah, she's definitely my type," he admits, biting his lip. My heart quickens at his response, a wave of unease washing over me.
She didn't tell him she's dating me!?
"She's taken, so fuck off if your only intention is to fuck her." With that, I turn away, feeling a surge of protectiveness for Stella. As I move, I catch sight of Coco nearby.
"Lan!" Coco greets me with a wide smile, embracing me warmly. "Hi, Coco," I reply, leaning against the wall. Sensing my unease, she cuts to the chase.
"Is it Stella again?" she asks, twirling her drink in her glass. I nod, confirming her suspicion. "She's hanging out with this guy named Aaron. I think he's into her, but she seems to think they're just friends," I explain, frustration evident in my tone. Coco's face mirrors my concern as she absorbs the information.
"Maybe you misunderstood. Let's just enjoy the night, have some drinks, alright? I'm sure Aaron doesn't have eyes for Stella," Coco reassures me, her hand gently brushing against my arm.
I force a smile and nod. "You're right," I agree, pushing myself off the wall and heading towards a table to grab some food.
As I eat, I observe Aaron and Stella laughing together. We really need to sort things out, she and I.
