2 Month later
9 months.
It's been nine full months of being pregnant, and I think the baby has finally decided they've had enough.
I sit on the bathroom floor, clutching my stomach as small tears roll down my cheeks. My contractions are coming closer together, every minute to a few seconds now, and the pain is overwhelming.
I'm so glad Lando doesn't have a race this weekend. Right now, he's frantically running around the apartment, trying to pack my hospital bag—something I definitely should have done ages ago.
"Angel, you're doing amazing!" he calls out, and I catch glimpses of him through the doorway, running back and forth.
We hadn't planned for this to happen so suddenly.
"No, I'm not," I groan, tilting my head back. Soon, Lando comes into the bathroom with the exercise ball I've been using a lot lately.
"Here," he murmurs, gently holding me and helping me onto the ball.
I bounce slightly, moving around on the ball. Lando gently holds my cheeks, making me look up at him.
"Fuck, I didn't actually think any of this through at all, like this whole parenting thing. But you're doing great, baby, just remember that, okay," he says with a reassuring smile, leaning down to kiss my lips.
"So proud of you. I'll make sure to contact everyone—family, friends—and let them know this is happening," he murmurs against my lips, then pulls away and quickly leaves again.
"Fuck," I groan. This baby is definitely going to take after Lando; I can already feel it.
Then he enters the room again, the bag swung across his shoulder. He comes to me, lifts me off the ball, and gently helps me walk to the front door. Together, we leave the apartment.
"Slow steps. I don't want this baby coming out in the hallway," he says with a smile, and I let out a small giggle in response. He holds me close to him as we make our way to the car. Once inside, he helps me settle in, and as I sit, I tilt my head back, cradling my belly.
Lando gets in the driver's seat, starts the car smoothly, and with a reassuring glance, he drives off, ready to bring our baby into the world.
The whole way to the hospital, I was in complete pain, groaning and moaning as my contractions kept coming more frequently.
"Look at you, you're glowing, and of course, looking beautiful," Lando smiles warmly, brushing hair out of my face as we wait at the traffic lights.
"That's sweat, Lando. I'm fucking sweating like crazy," I moan, meeting his gaze, and his smile softens. "Oh... but you still look gorgeous," he shrugs, chuckling a little before focusing on the road ahead.
Soon, we arrive at the hospital. Lando helps me out of the car, and together we walk inside. Thanks to Lando's prior call, the hospital has a room ready for us. We make our way to the room, and as soon as we enter, I settle myself onto the bed.
Lando stays by my side, holding my hand as the doctors check on me. "Okay, you're currently 5cm dilated. It's good you came in when you did. Your baby could arrive in between four to five hours. If you need anything, don't hesitate to press the button. There's always a nurse nearby," the doctor smiles reassuringly before leaving the room.
"Your family is on their way, mine is flying down, so their arrival time is uncertain. But I'll be right here with you every step of the way, Angel. You're not alone," Lando reassures me, planting a soft kiss on my hand, holding it close to him.

Landos pov
It was time.
I grasp Stella's hand tightly as the doctors gather around, prepared for her to push.
Six hours have passed since we arrived at the hospital. Our families are all here, offering their support and waiting with bated breath. Yet, in this room, it feels like it's just the two of us.
It's so surreal to me that I'm about to become a father. I mean, I'm only 24, and soon I'll be responsible for a child.
"Okay, Stella, I'm going to need you to take a deep breath, then push," the doctor instructs, and I look at Stella, who has her eyes closed as she follows the doctor's guidance.
"You're doing great," I mumble as I caress her hand. She really is though. I mean, I know she didn't plan to have this baby, neither of us did, but she's handling it all so well. I couldn't be prouder.
"Again, a small push please," the doctor says, and Stella huffs as she pushes.
The process is repeated, and Stella screams, but she pushes through it all. I hold her close to me, marveling at her strength.
"You can do this, Angel, you've got this," I reassure her, smiling softly. She looks up at me, sweat dripping down her face, and she looks exhausted. "Thank you, Lando," she mumbles, and I lean down to kiss her gently before she has to resume pushing.
Almost 20 minutes go by before the doctor exclaims, "I see a head!" Her voice fills the room with excitement, and I squeeze Stella's hand tightly as she tries to catch a glimpse, her anticipation palpable.
"Look, you're doing amazing, baby. We're almost there," I say, my voice filled with pride and love, as I gently cup her cheek, reassuring her with every touch.
"Fuck!" She screams, tilting her head back as she pushes again. I've never seen a woman so strong in my life. Gosh, I love her.
"Almost here!" The doctor screams, and suddenly, the room erupts into cries of joy.
I freeze as I gaze at my baby in the doctor's hands. They gently pull the baby up, and immediately, they place the baby in Stella's arms. Tears stream down her face as she cradles our baby close, overcome with emotion.
"Oh my gosh, it's a girl, Lan," she cries, her voice filled with joy and disbelief as she holds our daughter close to her chest. Suddenly, I feel a tear trickle down my cheek as I gaze at the two of them, overwhelmed with love.
"It's a girl..." I mumble, a smile spreading across my lips as I lean down to take a good look at my baby girl. "She already looks just like her beautiful mother," I say, gazing at Stella with adoration, before kissing her softly on the lips.
"What do we name her," I ask, my heart overflowing with love as I gaze at our daughter. Stella takes a moment to look at her before gazing up at me, her eyes filled with warmth and love.
"Amelia Lilyrose Norris," Stella mumbles, and I immediately nod, a surge of emotion flooding through me as I stare down at our precious Amelia.
