(Y/n)'s month in the hospital went by, and she had finally been discharged to go back home. It was the last week of school, and she was set to graduate with the rest of her class. She and the girls spent a lot of time together, sleepovers, doing homework together, cooking, and baking together, it was a lot of fun. (Y/n) even spent time with a few others, like Kyle, Kevin, and Karen. Being surrounded by so many people she loved, she was able to move on and heal properly.
Mentally, (Y/n) was always a strong person, it was rare that something could bring down her spirits for too long. Of course, she still thought about Kenny every now and then, but she persisted with moving forward. It was easy for her this time around because she wasn't alone. Her girlfriends were with her every step of the way, their situations were all somewhat similar.
"Mrs. Flores, don't get up, I'll get it for you!" (Y/n) said kindly, coming over to make sure she stayed lying down. Mrs. Flores smiled at her, and complied, laying back down in her bed.
(Y/n) grabbed the remote by the tv, and handed it to her.
Mrs. Flores had become very weak these days. She could rarely do things herself without feeling pain in her body. Seeing as she was up there in years, her body had become fragile, and frail. Luckily for her, (Y/n) and she worked out, hiring a home nurse to take care of her and her cats for half the week. The other half of the week, (Y/n) would come and help the best she could, also to of course, offer Mrs. Flores company. Mrs. Flores loved having (Y/n) around to help and for company. Since the start of the year, she and Mrs. Flores had grown closer and closer. In fact, Mrs. Flores considered her family.
"Thanks for visiting me again Miija, you're very helpful to me and the cats," She said.
"Oh, you don't have to thank me! I love coming over to hang out! It's more productive than terrorizing the ant colony in my backyard!" (Y/n) laughed. Mrs. Flores laughed, already accustomed to her weirdness.
"It's getting a little late, shouldn't you be on your way home now?" She asked.
"Huh, oh yeah, guess so. I asked my friend to pick me up, so I'm just waiting on him." (Y/n) told her, casually.
Suddenly her phone went off, and she answered, "Oh, you're outside? Okay! See you in a minute!"
(Y/n) turned back to Mrs. Flores, "Before I leave, let me help you take your medication, I'll be right back." (Y/n) went to the kitchen, and grabbed the medication she should take that night. She also grabbed a glass of water and returned to Mrs. Flores's room.
"Here, take this okay? 3 pills tonight!" She placed them down on a napkin, on the bedside table. Mrs. Flores, took the pills and swallowed them down.
"Thank you again, Miija. I don't know what I'd do without you," She said considerately. (Y/n) sent her a warm smile,
"Psh, it's nothing! I'll keep coming around for, forever! So get used to it!" She said, moving Mrs. Flores's walker nearer to her bed.
"If you need to use the bathroom at night, the walker is right here by the bed, okay? If it gets too hard though, we can always talk about maybe getting a night shift nurse to come help too," (Y/n) said.
"Alright Miija, sounds good to me, good night."
"Good night Mrs. Flores," (Y/n) came over and hugged her goodbye. Leaving the house, (Y/n) locked up with her spare key, and went down the stairs of Mrs. Flores's front porch. She walked down the path and out the gate, seeing Kevin parked in his truck.
(Y/n) ran up to him, a smile plastered across her face, "Hey Kev!"
"Hey, (Y/n), you're as bright as ever." He said.
