As the last rays of the setting sun painted our dorm room in hues of orange and gold, I found myself tidying up my scattered school books and papers. With a sigh of relief, I closed my textbook and set it neatly on my desk, feeling the weight of the day lifting off my shoulders. Just as I was about to relax, the door swung open, and in strolled Jisung, his infectious energy filling the room.

"Hey, Chenle. Ready to go out?" Jisung asked, his grin stretching from ear to ear.

I looked up from my desk, a curious expression crossing my face. "Go out? Where are we going?"

Jisung winked mischievously. "Ah, that's a surprise! But trust me, you'll love it."

I chuckled, shaking my head at his typical secrecy. "Alright, alright. Let me just grab my jacket."

Slipping on my jacket, I followed Jisung out of the room, making sure to lock the door behind us. As we walked down the hallway, the anticipation of the unknown destination fueled my curiosity.

"You seem to be in a very good mood today," I remarked, glancing over at Jisung who was practically bouncing with excitement.

He grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Just wait until you see what I've got planned."

We descended the stairs and stepped out into the cool evening air. The campus was bathed in the soft glow of streetlights, creating a serene atmosphere. With each step, I couldn't help but wonder where Jisung was taking me and what awaited us at our destination. But at that moment, all that mattered was the thrill of the adventure ahead, and I couldn't wait to uncover the surprise Jisung had in store.

As we walked towards the parking lot, my curiosity got the best of me, and I couldn't help but press Jisung for more details about the surprise.

"Come on, Jisung, give me a hint at least. Where are we headed?" I asked, a playful grin tugging at my lips.

Jisung chuckled, shaking his head. "Nope, no hints this time. You'll just have to trust me."

I was about to protest further when we reached Jisung's car. He unlocked the doors and gestured for me to get in. However, as I moved to slide into the driver's seat, Jisung intervened and got behind the wheel himself.

"Hey, are you sure you should be driving?" I voiced my concern, remembering the wounds he sustained from our recent soccer match.

Jisung waved off my worries with a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine, Chenle. Don't worry about me. Besides, I promise we'll be safe, okay? No accidents tonight."

Reluctantly, I settled into the passenger seat, still feeling uneasy about Jisung taking the wheel. But as we pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road, I couldn't shake the nagging worry in the back of my mind. As Jisung revs the engine, the familiar thrum of rock music fills the car, wrapping around us like a warm embrace. I slide into the passenger seat, clicking my seatbelt into place with a practiced motion. The gentle hum of the engine hums beneath the melodies, a harmony to our journey.

Glancing over at Jisung, I catch a glimpse of his focused expression, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. There's something captivating about the way he commands the steering wheel, a quiet confidence that draws me in. Despite knowing the importance of keeping my eyes on the road, I find myself stealing glances at him, unable to resist the magnetic pull of his presence.

As we pull away from the university campus, a comfortable silence settles between us, broken only by the rhythmic beat of the music. I fold my hands in my lap, feeling the subtle vibrations of the car beneath me as we glide through the streets. As we leave the university campus behind, the scenery shifts around us. Tall buildings give way to smaller shops and cosy cafes, each one illuminated by the soft glow of streetlights. The city streets come alive with activity, bustling with people going about their evening routines. Neon signs flicker and dance, casting colourful reflections on the pavement as we race through the city.
