Summary:Bucky hates when you leave him alone to go on a night out with your friends. He gets really jealous when he sees you laugh with your best friend near the bar.

Y/N'S POV:

The party was nice, small and really fun but my mind was stuck on a certain old man waiting back at the apartment for me. I thought going out alone tonight might be a little fun but all I could think about the entire night was 'What was Bucky doing?' 'Is he okay?' ' Did he have dinner?'.

I wanted to enjoy the party and be with my friends as for the past few months I have been completely blowing them off but I couldn't.

Maybe leaving Bucky at home was not a good idea.

"So you are alive?"a familiar accented voice snaps me out of my daze.

I look up from my phone to find my best friend beaming down at me with his signature smile.

I immediately got up from my bar stool and hugged him.

"Didn't think I'd be seeing you here since you have been ignoring me for your superhero boyfriend all month." Charles teased me.

"Sorry about that. He is just not very comfortable around people." I defended myself.

"So is he here?" he said, looking around hoping to find Bucky. He might tease me for being in a relationship with an avenger but he really respects him, which is why his teasing doesn't bother me.

"No, he isn't." I replied.

"Why not? We would have loved to have him here." he asked.

"I know but like I said he is not comfortable around people." I told him.

"Okay. But next time try to convince him to go out with us. I know he doesn't like me very much but I am a fan." he said.

"I'll try my best," I said.

"Your best is enough. Come on now we need to get you a drink and you need to tell me everything about being a superhero's girlfriend" he smiled at me and dragged me towards the quiet end of the bar.

"Why, you wanna be one?" I teased him.

"Very funny, darling." his smile fell a little, his expression turning into one of annoyance.

My smile only grew larger at that and we started talking while the night drifted.

BUCKY'S POV:

I have been dressed and ready to leave for about an hour now but y/n hasn't called me yet.

My mind drifted onto all the horrible things that could have happened to her already.

I didn't want to be so paranoid but I couldn't help it.

My head was filled with questions. 'Why hasn't she called yet?' 'Did something happen to her?' ' Is she hurt?'no, I didn't want to think that.

She probably just lost track of time, yes that could have happened.

She hadn't been out with her friends in a long time, they must have a lot to catch up on.

My phone rang, snapping me out of my daze.

Y/n's name flashed on it and I let out a breath that I didn't realise I had been holding.

"Hey buck"her voice sounded as sweet as ever, just a little intoxicated.

"Hey doll, are you ready to leave?" I asked already halfway out of our apartment knowing that's why she called.

"Yes,yes I am." she giggled.

Yup, definitely drunk.

"Baby, how many drinks have you had?" I asked her if she was too drunk to be alone in the bar.

"Not many, don't worry and......I'm not alone" she answered all the questions swimming inside my head without me needing to say them out loud.

God...I love this girl so much.

"Okay, I'm on my way. Stay where you are okay. I'll be there soon." I inform her.

"Hmm" she drawled.

"I love you"

"I love you, too"

I reached the bar soon after I hung up the call.

I was smiling to myself when I saw her. She looked as beautiful as ever.

Then I noticed the man sitting beside her, his hand draped across her chair, and the wide smiles on their faces.

Clearly they were both drunk.

I clear my throat to get y/n's attention and to stop myself from tearing his arm off her.

"Hey buck." she smiled at me and for a second I forgot about my anger. I smiled back at my girl.

"Hello mate. Good to see you again" Charles said in his accented voice.

I only scowled at him. He wasn't a bad person but I didn't really like him, mostly because he and y/n were really close and had known each other for a long time.

"Let's go, doll." I said looking at y/n.

"Fine, just give me a minute." she said and started grabbing her things.

She got up from her stool clumsily, almost falling down but Charles caught her before that.

I was glad that he did but his hands on her made my blood boil.

'BYE Charlie." y/n waved at him and then proceeded to hug him.

He hugged her back and kissed her cheek"Bye darling."

I had had enough so I grabbed y/n without another word and got out of the bar.

"Hey... slow down. Buck stop" she yelled. At that I went still and released her.

"What the hell was that?" she asked.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I tried to deflect.

"Don't play dumb. Why did you grab me like that? Why did you drag me away from Charles?" she asked me, anger clear on her face.

"Would you rather me stay there and watch him kiss you?" I snapped. I regretted it as soon as the words left my mouth.

She recoiled back.

"It was a simple kiss on the cheek. It didn't mean anything. He is my friend, friends do that." She tried to keep her voice steady but I could see her struggling.

I wanted to apologise, to tell her I'm sorry but I couldn't. All I could think about was that she was scared of me.

"Buck, you don't have to be jealous of anyone." she said.

"I'm not." I lied about not meeting her eye, already feeling guilty about my behaviour tonight.

"Let's go," I said, opening the car door for her.

She didn't say anything but sat in the car. Neither of us talked during the ride back.

She didn't so much as look at me while she changed and got ready for bed.

I wanted to talk to her, to apologise but she didn't give me a chance and slept at the far corner of the bed, ignoring me.
