As the Seasons Change

Snow falls from the sky

as I pass my brother by,

Laughing in his wake

'cause his turn was mine to take.

Chuckling as my frost covered his still green trees,

he definitely won't be happy with me.

I froze the lakes, put out the fires,

I can do anything to please my desires.

"Shut up, will you?"

My rosey voice spat as I pushed through.

I never liked the cold,

he thought everything should be controlled.

The oldest of the group,

I choose when to restart the loop.

The others annoyed with my power,

but I ignore them, covering the plants with a shower.

I put out her 'reign' with the golden sun,

quietly snickering at my clever pun.

The waves, green grass, and clear skies

are the things I create that sparkle in your eyes.

Vacation or Holiday, I'm the best place to be;

no other season can compare to me.

Water and parks or glistening pools,

everyone loves me 'cause they're off school.

No body likes the sun; they'd rather have cloudy days,

ones with firepits, pumpkins, and a corn maze.

I'm the prettiest of us all

because I control when the leaves fall.

Books and candles were made for me.

Come curl up by the fire with a cup of tea.

Watch the spooky season come to life,

everyone paranoid about a murderer with a knife.
