FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A WHILE, I woke up with a smile covering my face.
The feeling in my chest is one that's unfamiliar to me, yet it's a great feeling.
For once I don't feel lonely, I don't feel like I'm existing.
I feel like I'm living.

I got ready for work happily, thinking of what I was going to tell Suguru about yesterday and my day with THE Gojo Satoru.

I slipped my black tights on, and I buttoned my shirt up; the one that had a hint of Satoru's cologne on.
I clipped my skirt and tucked my shirt in and then put my shoes on.

I fixed my hair in the mirror and finished up my look before grabbing my coat and my work satchel and leaving my apartment; which has remained clean for the last two days.

The drive to work was pleasant, traffic and road rage aside; for some reason, life seemed better today.
The colour of every day returned, it's hard to explain but everything seemed more vibrant than usual.

I arrived at my work building and walked through it confidently, something I had never felt in my years of working there.

In the elevator, I stood with a new face, a blonde-haired man with glasses and a funky tie.
He looked serious, but that didn't intimidate me; so I started a conversation.

"Are you new here?" I asked him, taking a better look at him.
He looked down at me, still with a stoic expression on his face.

"Trying out for manager position on floor eight B." he fixed the cuffs of his suit and I nodded, suddenly realising that was my floor; meaning I was getting a new manager.

"That's my floor, will you be replacing Eric Fernando?" I asked him, getting silently excited over the news.

"Yes, I was personally called in by the new owner of the company." he stood tall and proud of his words, and I smiled at him, knowing exactly who he was talking about.

"I'm Y/n L/n, nice to meet you." I reached my hand out and he took it, shaking it firmly.
"Nanami Kento." he nodded and the elevator door opened, revealing the floor I worked on.

Eric stood by the coffee machine, reprimanding an employee.
All of this happened with Nanami watching, which definitely didn't give a good impression.

Eric walked towards the elevator, ignoring Nanami's presence while pointing his fat index finger at me.
What a gross man he is.

"You, L/n, that document is due." he tapped his foot on the ground impatiently.

"My apologies, I'll get to it." I slightly bowed and tried to leave, but he continued talking as I took my first step; making me stop and listen to his words again.

"Yeah you do, because you want to go run off during work hours, now you have to do it today on top of everything else." he spewed spit from his mouth as he spoke.

"I didn't run off, your boss personally called me for assistance, I'm not to blame, nor is he. I'm just doing my job sir." I walked ahead, leaving him with a very unimpressed Nanami.

I looked behind me and saw Eric sweating over the fact that the new potential manager just witnessed his treatment of employees.
Which isn't a good look on him.

I went to my cubicle, got myself set up and sat down, rolling my chair out to be met with the familiar black-haired man that I've learnt to enjoy the company of.

"Morning, Suguru." I smiled at him with a wave, and he rolled his chair out to see me.

"Morning, gorgeous, how was your day with Satoru yesterday?" he had a smirk on his face as he spoke to me, and I thought back to yesterday, which made me happy internally.

"It was really good...so far everything is going pretty well." I had a dreamy expression on my face and Suguru could see it, which received a laugh from him.

"The new manager is in today, his name is Nanami Kento," I whispered to him and he had a shocked expression plastered on him, so he sat up from his chair to check it out.

"I went to school with that guy too, he was a year below me." he laughed and dragged me along towards the middle of the office, where Nanami stood alone, probably waiting for Eric to get back to him.

"Kento!" he called out and shook his hand with an excited smile, which was received rather positively by the already stern man.

"High school reunion much? Did Satoru hire you?" Suguru continued while I stood on the side with my hands laced together.

"Yes, starting next week I'll be taking over management in this sector." he nodded and pushed his glasses up, Suguru and I exchanged happy looks.

The elevator opened to reveal the white-haired man that I've wanted to hear from since last night, and my face instantly lit up at the sight of him.

He walked onto the floor and joined the group, greeting Nanami and Suguru first, and then approaching me with a hug around the waist.

"How are you finding it here Nanami?" Satoru asked him with his hand resting on either side of his hips.

"Could use some assistance, otherwise it's looking good. The current manager is useless, sad to say." Nanami sighed in frustration over Eric's incompetence in managing a single office floor.

"Well, lots of changes will be done over time. How do drinks at my place sound tonight?" he offered the three of us and we all accepted happily, especially me but that's not relevant right now.

"Satoru you're turning me into an alcoholic." I joked with him and he smirked, poking my sides, playing with me.
"You just like drinking." he laughed and stood next to me, resting his hand on my shoulder.

Eric stormed over to the group once he spotted me, shouting from the other side of the office because I wasn't in my seat doing my job.

Satoru and Nanami turned around to face him and he stopped in his tracks, feeling small from being towered over by three much bigger men.

"She needs to finish that document by today! Otherwise, she'll be-" Eric got cut off by Gojo laughing at him, which made him keep quiet.

"She'll have it done by today, I'll help her. She can come up with me to my office," he smirked at me, and I looked away feeling charmed by him.

Eric couldn't protest and simply walked away in defeat, leaving the four of us as a group once again.

"WELL, Y/N, COME WITH ME THEN."
