Waking up this morning was something Nia had anticipated, even as she lay awake, listening to him moving around the room. She could hear his voice, calm and focused, as he talked to Parker about his speech for tomorrow.
In just minutes, she felt the bed dip under his weight, and warm lips gently pressed against her forehead and cheeks. "I love you, darling," he whispered softly.
He got off the bed, the familiar sound of the keys she had lent him clicking in his hand as he moved away.
After last night, her body was sore from dancing half the night, and she felt too drained to let him know she was awake. She couldn't bear the thought of facing him and the inevitable tears that would stream down her face.
The scream she wanted to scream.
She couldn't face the pain she was feeling right now.

He was gone.
And then the tears fell. Opening her eyes, the bright sunlight blinded her instantly. She wiped her tears away quickly and decided she needed to get up and distract herself, instead of worrying about a ghost from her past. Determined to move on, she went about her day, oblivious to what was happening online. That was, until she finally grabbed her phone and went online.

The President Elect already stirred something up the day before his inauguration: Sources say the President was seen being intimate with a woman at the same event his ex-wife attended.
This was completely stupid.
The article detailed that an anonymous source had submitted photos of Lisa and Theodore laughing at an event they attended months ago, with the source commenting, "What a lovely couple they'll be again. It's a shame what's happening."
